No General Attendance
Attendance at home games is NOT open to the general public.  The field hockey team is allowed a limited number of entries on a pass list for the athletes, and then any extra capacity up to the state of Virginia's limit of 30% of listed capacity can be filled by W&M students with campus-issued ID cards.

Scouting the Tribe
W&M fell in its season-opener at JMU last weekend, 4-0, despite strong possession in the midfield.  Senior Melanie Strik (Den Haag, The Netherlands) led the team with a pair of shots in the contest, while her classmate Ashley Drum (Norfolk, Va.) had the only shot on-goal.

Scouting the Dragons
Drexel starts the year at 2-1 overall, including a 2-1 win over Hofstra on Sunday.  Freshman Eline Di Leva was named the CAA Rookie of the Week on Tuesday after scoring both of the Dragons' goals against the Pride, and she is also leading the team in scoring with six of the 11 total points scored.  On defense, Megan Hadfield has played every minute in goal with 10 saves and a 0.67 GAA.

The Series
W&M leads the all-time series with Drexel 12-8, including an 8-3 mark in Williamsburg.  The last five meetings have been evenly split, 5-5, with the Tribe winning 3-2 last year on the road, and 2-1 in overtime in 2018.

News and Notes
- Elected as captains for this season were Cara Menges (Richmond, Va.) (for the second time) and senior Ella Donahue (Midlothian, Va.).  Senior Haley Hopkins (Springfield, Va.) and junior Jorja Morgan (Wakerley, QLD, Australia) were chosen as vice-captains.

- Hopkins led the Tribe with four game-winning goals in 2019, tied for 11th-most all-time.

- Junior Kimi Jones (Virginia Beach, Va.) ranks eighth all-time in career wins at W&M, with 22 in her first two years.

- Menges ranks eighth in school history with 0.26 assists per game, and fourth all-time with 1.26 shots on goal per game.

- 11 players from W&M were named to the NFHCA All-Academic Squad, the third year in a row the Tribe has had 10+ honorees.  To qualify, athletes had to have over a 3.3 GPA through the fall semester.

- The 2021 spring season will only encompass CAA games, with the top four teams advancing to the CAA Tournament April 22-24 at the University of Delaware.
