William & Mary Athletics to Offer Expanded Attendance Opportunities to Students

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The William & Mary Athletics Department has announced plans for expanded attendance opportunities for students at athletics events within selected venues, in response to the amended Executive Order 72 by Virginia Governor Ralph Northam.

In accordance with the revised Executive Order, which allows that outdoor venues cannot exceed the lesser of 1,000 spectators or 30% capacity, the decision was made to include a selected number of William & Mary students and provide an increased opportunity for them to gather safely within all applicable social distance protocols.

"We're very excited to be able to safely welcome students this spring to cheer on their classmates," said Interim Director of Athletics Jeremy P. Martin Ph.D. '12, MBA '17.  "We continue to look forward to the day when we can welcome back our entire community to support the Tribe in person."

In addition, the revised capacity will allow the department to increase the previously limited pass list for William & Mary student-athletes' families to attend. No visiting pass list will be available at this time. William & Mary Athletics will collaborate with the university, including the Student Assembly, as it makes decisions on how to make the best use of the available attendance opportunities.

There remain no tickets available for public sale to any William & Mary Athletics events.
