Men's Tennis Rolls to 7-0 win at Mary Washington

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's tennis rolled to a 7-0 win over Mary Washington on Friday afternoon.
 
The Tribe (3-4) won three of four doubles matches and swept nine singles contests in dispatching of the Eagles.
 
How It Happened
- In doubles action, the Tribe claimed the match's opening point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. Graduate student Lev Kazakov and junior Joseph Brailovsky topped Priyan Desilva and Andrew Watson, 8-5, on line two to improve to 3-2. Senior Finbar Talcott and junior Daniel Pellerito notched their second doubles win, downing Cole Tecce and Peter Leese, 8-3, at No. 3.
- In other doubles action, junior Jack Kelly and senior Sebastian Quiros picked up an 8-3 win over Nick Spera and Artis Hart.
- In singles, sophomore George Davis and Talcott dropped just four games apiece in wins at No. 3 and No. 5, respectively. Davis evened his singles ledger at 3-3 with a 6-2, 6-2, win over Rishi Charan Shankar, while Talcott ran his team-best mark to 5-2 with a matching 6-2, 6-2 win over Artis Hart.
- Kazakova and Quiros each recorded their third singles wins of the spring. Kazakova upended Andrew Watson, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 2, and Quiros bounced Cole Tecce, 6-3, 6-3, on line four.
- Brailovsky improved to 4-2 on the year with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Peter Leese at No. 6.
- At the top spot, graduate student Brenden Volk picked up his third win overall and second on line one. He dispatched of Moses Hutchison in three sets, 7-5, 6-7, 1-0.
- In other singles action, Pellerito made quick work of Priyan Desilva dropping just one game, 6-0, 6-1. Kelly notched a 6-2, 6-4 win over Nick Spera, and Ruo Chen defeated Andrew Cooper in a pro set, 8-3.
