BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Propelled by a number of strong performances, the William & Mary men's golf team is in second place after the opening round at the Lehigh Invitational.
The Tribe shot 7-over (295) as a team Friday and are just three shots behind the leader, Siena, in a field of 14 teams at the Saucon Valley Country Club (Grace Course).
Freshman
Logan Hunter fired a 2-under 70 to tie for the second-best score of the day, while senior
Matthew Feinstein is just outside the top-10 with an opening round 74, 2-over. Hunter's card included six birdies, as he shot 4-under through the opening nine holes en route to tying for his third-best round this season.
Graduate student
Ethan Mangum, 3-over 75, and junior
Jimmy Taylor, 4-over 76, are currently tied for 18th and 22nd, respectively. Junior
Trevor Binau shot a 6-over 78.
Saturday's final round tee times will begin at 8 a.m.
