WEST POINT, N.Y. – Andrew Lyubovsky set a school record on high bar (14.6) and the William & Mary men's gymnastics team posted a season-high score for the second consecutive week, but the Tribe fell at Army, 408.65-397.85, on Saturday afternoon.
 
In addition to winning the high bar title with a record-setting performance, which ranks as the top score in the nation in the event this season, Lyubovsky also posted the meet's top score on parallel bars (13.95). Collin Lillie also claimed a title on vault by equaling his season high (14.4).
 
 
En route to recording its top overall team score of the 2020 campaign, W&M also earned season highs on floor (67.8), vault (70.05) and high bar (65.3).  
 
Event Recaps
Floor, 67.8 – Lillie (13.95) and Kevin Portofee (13.8) both registered career bests on floor en route to placing second and tied for third, respectively.
 
Pommel Horse, 64.15 – Christian Gulotta led the Tribe on pommel horse with a season-high 13.0, while Malcolm Baytop and Spencer Schrandt both totaled a 12.95. The score represented a career high for Baytop.

Rings, 66.5 – Christian Marsh posted the Tribe's top score on rings and tied for third with a career-high 13.65. Nate Winneg just missed out on a top-three finish and recorded a career-best 13.6.
  
Vault, 70.05 – W&M's top score of the season on vault was highlighted by Lillie's winning performance (14.4), which equaled a season high. Portofee also came up big with a career-high 14.0.

Parallel Bars, 64.05 – Lyubovsky claimed the parallel bars title with a 13.95, while Marsh tied for third with a career-best 13.45.
 
High Bar, 65.3 – Lyubovsky's school-record performance on high bar (14.6) was a half point better than the second-place finisher and helped W&M earn a season high in the event.
