WILLIAMSBURG, VA.- Tribe baseball (5-8) will look to stay hot at home welcoming Merrimack (6-5) College for a three-game set beginning Friday afternoon at Plumeri Park. It will mark the first time that W&M has faced the Warriors in school history.
W&M enters the game fresh off Wednesday's commanding 13-3 victory over George Mason while Merrimack is coming off one win in a three-game set against Wofford last weekend.
The Tribe's bats have enjoyed early success at Plumeri Park in 2020 averaging over 10 runs and 10 hits per home contest. The Green and Gold has plated 13 runs in each of their last two games at home and has an overall record of 5-2 at Plumeri Park this season.
William & Mary's weekend rotation has been strong through the first three weeks of the season and will look to give the Tribe another three days of quality efforts on the hill. Senior
Chris Farrell has been masterful on Friday's allowing just one run and striking out 15 batters through a trio of starts. Sophomore
Jack Cone has won two Sunday starts in a row and has allowed just two runs in 12.0 innings at Plumeri Park this season.
The Tribe has been solid defensively posting a .982 fielding percentage good for second in the CAA and 27th nationally. W& has turned 15 double plays, tied for fifth-most in the NCAA. Senior catcher

Matt Thomas has recorded four outfield assists.
Trehub enters the weekend with a nine-game hitting streak while junior infielder
Matt McDermott has hit safely in seven straight contests. Thomas has reached base in twelve straight games and sophomore
Hunter Hart has posted at least one RBI in all six of his starts this season.
