- W&M and Northeastern have had a competitive series over the years as the Huskies hold a slight 12-11 advantage in the all-time series. Since head coach Ed Swanson took over the Tribe is 7-5 against the Huskies, despite Northeastern winning the two games last season. In last season's series, redshirt junior Harper Birdsong averaged 13.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Both senior Victoria Reynolds and sophomore Eva Hodgson averaged 12 points a game.

- The Tribe picked up its seventh road win of the season on Friday afternoon at Hofstra. The victory pulled the Green and Gold within one of the school record for road wins. The 1978-89, 2006-07, and 2016-17 squads each won eight road games. Those three teams combined to average 18.3 wins, including a school-record tying 20 wins by the 2016-17 team.Â

- For the third time in the last five games, both senior Victoria Reynolds and sophomore Eva Hodgson had at least 20 points in a game when the duo each had 23 versus Hofstra. Previously that feat had not been accomplished in a season and a half. Furthermore, both are climbing up the single-season 20-point performance chart as Hodgson moves into a tie for 10th all-time (in the Division I era) and Reynolds is closing in with her four 20-point games this season.Â

- Sunday's have been kind to start the season this year for the Green and Gold posting a perfect 4-0 record. The Tribe is averaging 75.0 points in four Sunday games, including a season-high 85 points last Sunday versus Charleston, and is shooting 51.7% (105-for-203) in those games.Â

- W&M freshman Bre Bellamy was named the CAA's Rookie of the Week for the third time after scoring five points, grabbing six rebounds, handing out four assists, two steals in a block in the comeback win at George Washington. The freshman is now just one behind the school record for rookie of the week awards set by current sophomore Eva Hodgson, the school's all-time leading scorer Kyra Kaylor and Dominique Lewis, who each have four.

- The Tribe has also been honored by the CAA with four weekly awards and an honorable mention citation so far this season. Aside from Bellamy's three weekly honors, senior Victoria Reynolds was named the CAA Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 9, while sophomore Eva Hodgson earned honorable mention player of the week honors for the week of Nov. 25.

- For the ninth time in under head coach Ed Swanson, W&M shot better than 55% in a contest, including setting the school record of 64.3% last March against Northeastern, when it shot 58% against Charleston. The Tribe's 58.3% field goal percentage at VCU, the season-high, ranks tied for seventh under Swanson and is the seventh-best in school history. For the season, the Tribe is shooting 44.5%, which is tops in the CAA and ranks 43rd nationally.

- Because of its strong field goal percentage, W&M has also been scoring the ball at a high clip. The Tribe has scored, at least, 70 points in nine of its 17 contests this year, and only less than 60 twice. The Green and Gold is averaging 70.6 points per game this season, which leads the CAA.Â

- Following her CAA Rookie of the Year honor last season, sophomore Eva Hodgson has picked up where she left off and has been the Tribe's leading scorer in all but two games. After scoring the most points in the Division I era in a season opener (27), Hodgson reset her career-high with 29 points at Richmond. She is averaging 19.2 points per game, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. Hodgson's 19.2 points per game is good for third in the CAA and 26th nationally, while she is leading the conference and ranked 55th in the NCAA in field goal percentage at 53.6%. The sophomore has been in double-figures in 17 straight games, which is tied for the second-longest streak in Division I school history, dating back to last year and has seven 20-point performances this year, including four of the last five games.

- Senior Victoria Reynolds has been turning it on since the George Washington game. She has been in double-figures in the last six contests and is averaging 19.6 points per game during that stretch and notched her second double-double of the season against Hofstra on Friday. A Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention selection, Reynolds is second on the team averaging 15.6 points per game and leads the team with 56.1 rebounds a night. She has been in double-figures in 51 career games and has scored 1,039 career points.Â

- Freshman Bre Bellamy, who has won three CAA Rookie of the Weeks, became the third straight true freshman to earn an opening night start at Army in the opener. During coach Swanson's tenure with the Tribe, he has started at least one true freshman in five of the seven seasons he has been the coach. The rookie, who has gone on to start every game this season, has been in double-figures five times, including a career-high 16 points at Towson, and is averaging 6.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 0.6 blocks per game.

- Junior Bailey Eichner has enjoyed her enhanced role during her junior campaign and is off to a career start. Eichner first scored a career-high 11 points in the win at East Carolina, before adding a career-high nine rebounds at George Washington. Also against ODU, Eichner tied or set career-highs with three assists, three steals, and four blocks. The Cudahy, Wisc. native has been the first Tribe post player off of the bench in each contest, and in her new role is averaging 3.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game. More impressively, Eichner is averaging 13.4 rebounds per 40 minute game.Â

- W&M head coach Ed Swanson became the 69th head coach in Division I history to win his 500th career game against Hartford on Nov. 23. Now at 507 wins, Swanson ranks as the 33rd active head coach in the country in terms of wins. With 101 wins as head coach of the Tribe is third all-time and is 46 away from all-time wins leader Debbie Taylor.Â
