Former Men's Golf Standout Alex Hicks '15 to Make PGA Tour Debut at Puerto Rico Open

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – Former William & Mary men's golfer Alex Hicks '15 will make his PGA Tour debut this weekend as he qualified for the PGA Tour's Puerto Rico Open. The event runs Thursday, Feb. 21 through Sunday Feb. 24 at the Coco Beach Golf and Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
 
Hicks appeared in 107 career rounds from 2011-15 for the Green and Gold. He finished his career with a 74.02 stroke per round average, one tournament win, seven top-five finishes, and 13 top-10 finishes. He also complied a 74.2-winning percentage (2442-848) during his time with the Tribe.  Hicks' younger brother David is a senior on the Tribe's men golf team currently.
 
He still owns the school's best 36-hole score of 132 (-10) at the Joe Agee Invitational in 2013-14 and the best 72-hole score 199 (-144) in the same event. He ranks in the top-10 in career history in scoring average (third), rounds played (third), wins (fourth), career rounds at par or better (sixth), career top-10 finishes (sixth), winning percentage (seventh), and career top-five finishes (seventh).
