 - The Tribe and the Rams are meeting for the 122nd in series history, dating back to 1922. VCU holds an 82-39 advantage in the series, including a 38-14 advantage in Richmond. Last year, VCU came to Williamsburg and picked up a 72-55 win in the season opener for both teams. (W&M's series history counts VCU's time as RPI and MCV).

- W&M has shot better than 40-percent in all but two games this season (both losses). The Tribe shot a season-best 56.6 percent from the floor at Delaware State, which tied for the sixth-best in single-game history. The Tribe is currently shooting 44.5-percent from the floor this season, which leads the CAA and ranks 54th in the nation as of Dec. 6.

- Because of its strong field goal percentage, W&M has also been scoring the ball at a high clip. The Tribe has scored, at least, 70 points in six of its eight contests this year. The Green and Gold are averaging 71.8 points per game this season, which leads the CAA.

- Freshman Bre Bellamy has been named CAA Rookie of the Week for the back-to-back weeks. Last week the freshman averaged 10.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.5 steals. Two weeks ago, Bellamy earned the rookie of the week, while sophomore Eva Hodgson was named the honorable mention player of the week.

- Following her CAA Rookie of the Year honor last season, Hodgson has picked up where she left off and has been the Tribe's leading scorer in all but one game. After scoring the most points in the Division I era in a season opener (27), Hodgson reset her career-high with 29 points at Richmond. She is averaging 18.1 points per game, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.

- Furthermore, Hodgson is the only players nationally (as of Dec. 6) to be perfect from the free-throw line this season, as she has connected on her first 32 from the free throw. Dating to back to March 1 of last season, Hodgson has hit 42 consecutive from the stripe.

- Starting with her third career double-double at ECU, senior Victoria Reynolds has been in double-figures in five of the last six games. In the game against the Pirates, she recorded 17 points, a season-high 12 rebounds, and six steals. In her most recent performance against Old Dominion, Reynolds had a season-high 20 points. A Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention selection, Reynolds is averaging 13.1 points per game and 4.8 rebounds a night. She has been in double-figures in 44 career games and needs 106 more points to become the 21st player in school history with 1,000 career points.

- Bellamy, who is the reigning CAA Rookie of the Week, became the third straight true freshman to earn an opening night start at Army in the opener. During coach Swanson's tenure with the Tribe, he has started at least one true freshman in five of the seven seasons he has been the coach. The rookie, who has gone on to start every game this season, has been in double-figures four times and is averaging 7.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks per game.

- Junior Bailey Eichner has enjoyed her enhanced role during her junior campaign and is off to a career start. Eichner first scored a career-high 11 points in the win at East Carolina, before adding a career-high eight rebounds at Richmond and against Old Dominion. Also against the Monarchs, Eichner tied or set career-highs with three assists, three steals, and four blocks. The Cudahy, Wisc. native has been the first Tribe post player off of the bench in each contest, and in her new role is averaging 4.4 points, and a team-high 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. During the last five contests, the junior is averaging 6.8 rebounds a game.

- A constant in the Tribe lineup since starting her career, junior Nyla Pollard ranks 14th in the country and leads the CAA with a 3.2 assist-to-turnover ratio. Pollard is leading the team with 32 assists, while only having 10 miscues this season. Pollard, who will make her 53rd career start today, is averaging 4.9 points per game and had a season-high 10 points against Hartford.

W&M head coach Ed Swanson became the 69th head coach in Division I history to win his 500th career game on Tuesday night against Hartford. Now at 501 wins, Swanson ranks as the 32nd active head coach in the country in terms of wins. He is closing in on becoming just the third coach in W&M history to win 100 career games as he sits at 95.
