 - The Tribe and the Spartans meet for the 24th time in series history on Friday afternoon. W&M leads the all-time series by a 15-8 margin. The Tribe picked up a 55-44 win on Dec. 21, 2018 in a trip to Norfolk State last year, but the Spartans won 80-74 in overtime the last time these two teams met at Kaplan Arena.

- W&M has had players honored by the CAA with weekly awards each of the last three weeks the team has played. Most recently, senior Victoria Reynolds was named the CAA Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 9 as she averaged 19.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week. Previously, freshman Bre Bellamy won back-to-back rookie of the week awards for the weeks of Nov. 25 and Dec. 2, and sophomore Eva Hodgson was honorable mention player of the week for the week of Nov. 25.

- For the eighth time in under head coach Ed Swanson, W&M shot better than 55% in a contest, including setting the school record of 64.3% last March against Northeastern. The Tribe's 58.3% field goal percentage at VCU ranks tied for seventh all-time and is the seventh best in school history. It rose the season percentage to 45.4%, which ranks best in the CAA and 34th nationally.

- Because of its strong field goal percentage, W&M has also been scoring the ball at a high clip. The Tribe has scored, at least, 70 points in six of its nine contests this year. The Green and Gold are averaging 71.4 points per game this season, which leads the CAA.

- Following her CAA Rookie of the Year honor last season, Hodgson has picked up where she left off and has been the Tribe's leading scorer in all but one game. After scoring the most points in the Division I era in a season opener (27), Hodgson reset her career-high with 29 points at Richmond. She is averaging 18.1 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.

- Furthermore, Hodgson leads the country in free throw percentage as she is shooting 97.6% (41-for-42) from the free throw line this season. After hitting her first 38 this season and 48 straight dating back to March 1 of last season, she ended the VCU game by hitting her last three after her only miss this season.

- Starting with her third career double-double at ECU, senior Victoria Reynolds has been in double-figures in six of the last seven games. In the game against the Pirates, she recorded 17 points, a season-high 12 rebounds, and six steals. Prior to the exam break, Reynolds was named the CAA Player of the Week after averaging 19.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in the last two games. A Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention selection, Reynolds is averaging 13.7 points per game and 5.2 rebounds a night. She has been in double-figures in 45 career games and needs 88 more points to become the 21st player in school history with 1,000 career points.

- Bellamy, who has won a pair of CAA Rookie of the Weeks, became the third straight true freshman to earn an opening night start at Army in the opener. During coach Swanson's tenure with the Tribe, he has started at least one true freshman in five of the seven seasons he has been the coach. The rookie, who has gone on to start every game this season, has been in double-figures four times and is averaging 7.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 0.7 blocks per game.

- Junior Bailey Eichner has enjoyed her enhanced role during her junior campaign and is off to a career start. Eichner first scored a career-high 11 points in the win at East Carolina, before adding a career-high eight rebounds at Richmond and against Old Dominion. Also against the Monarchs, Eichner tied or set career-highs with three assists, three steals, and four blocks. The Cudahy, Wisc. native has been the first Tribe post player off of the bench in each contest, and in her new role is averaging 3.9 points, and a team-high 5.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game.

- A constant in the Tribe lineup since starting her career, junior Nyla Pollard ranks 17th in the country and leads the CAA with a 2.7 assist-to-turnover ratio. Pollard is leading the team with 35 assists, while only having 13 miscues this season. Pollard, who will make her 54th career start today, is averaging 5.6 points per game and had a season-high 11 points at VCU last time out.

- W&M head coach Ed Swanson became the 69th head coach in Division I history to win his 500th career game on Tuesday night against Hartford. Now at 502 wins, Swanson ranks as the 33rd active head coach in the country in terms of wins. He is closing in on becoming just the third coach in W&M history to win 100 career games as he sits at 96.
