RICHMOND, Va. – The William & Mary women's basketball team had a pair of players honored by the Colonial Athletic Association with weekly awards the league announced on Monday afternoon.
 
Freshman Bre Bellamy was named the league's rookie week, while sophomore Eva Hodgson earned honorable mention player of the week honors.
 
Bellamy started two more games for the Tribe as she averaged 8.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. In the setback at Richmond, she scored a season-low four points but had two rebounds. She bounced back, with a season-best 12 points, while she added two rebounds, and swatted a pair of shots. For the season, she is averaging 8.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
 
Hodgson was tabbed as the honorable mention player of the week after a standout week in which scored the most points in the CAA. She averaged 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.5 steals in the Tribe's 1-1 week. Hodgson did all she could to lead W&M to a win at Richmond, but fell just short as she had 29 points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals. In just three quarters in Saturday's victory, Hodgson scored 16 points, grabbed five rebounds, three assists, and three steals. For the week, she shot 61.5-percent from the field (16-for-26) from the field, 70-percent from 3-point range (7-of-10) and perfect from the line. She is third in the CAA averaging 21.0 points per game and is adding 5.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per night.
 
The duo and the rest of the Tribe returns to action as it closes a two-game homestand against Hartford on Nov. 26. Tip time between the Tribe and the Hawks is set for 7 p.m.
