WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - With the approach of Hurricane Florence, the football game scheduled for Saturday, Sept 15, between Elon and William & Mary is postponed. The two schools will work closely with the Colonial Athletic Association and make every effort to reschedule the competition, but no make-up date has been identified.
 
"The safety of our student-athletes, staff and fans is paramount to any athletic contest and we must do our part to ensure their safety throughout the weather event," William & Mary Director of Athletics Samantha K. Huge said.  "Our thoughts are with all of those in the storm's path and our first responders."    
 
After this evening's men's soccer game vs. Longwood, all athletics events scheduled for the William & Mary campus have been either canceled or postponed through Sunday, Sept. 16.
