WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After helping lead the William & Mary football team to a
17-14 victory at NC Central on Saturday, junior running back
Jack Reuter was honored as the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week.
Reuter recorded the Tribe's first score when returned a blocked punt by
Ryan Vail 10 yards for a touchdown to give W&M an early 7-0 lead.
The big play was Reuter's second touchdown of the season, as the Cincinnati, Ohio native hauled in a 6-yard touchdown catch at Duke.
Reuter's honor marks the third time this season a W&M standout has earned the conference's Special Teams Player of the Week award. Kicker
Max Lipinski received the distinction twice, on Aug. 31 and Sept. 7.
The victory at NCCU moved W&M Head Coach
Mike London into sole possession of second place on the program's all-time wins list with 46 career victories. It also marked the Tribe's 47th win in its last 50 regular-season contests against FCS non-conference opponents.
Following an open week, the Tribe will return to action on Oct. 24 when it hosts Georgetown for Homecoming at Zable Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., and tickets are available at
