WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary men's tennis team wraps up the regular season with a pair of matches this weekend. The Tribe hosts Charlotte at the
Millie West Tennis Facility for Senior Day on Saturday, April 14, at 11 a.m., before traveling to No. 34 Old Dominion on Sunday, April 15, at 1 p.m. Saturday marks the final home match in the careers of W&M seniors

Scouting the Tribe
The Tribe enters its final two regular season matches at 10-9 on the year, following a 4-1 setback at VCU on Wednesday. Against the Rams, sophomore
Brenden Volk picked up his third-straight win at the No. 6 singles position, but the Tribe could not overcome VCU. Volk, who transferred to W&M from Northwestern in January, evened his singles ledger at 3-3. Freshman
Sebastian Quiros won his opening set at No. 5 and senior
Alec Miller rallied to force a third set at No. 2, but their matches were abandoned with the team result decided. Freshman

Christian Cargill lead the Tribe in singles wins with 16 each. Quiros tops the team with an 11-5 dual-match record and was named the CAA Player of the Week on April 3. Earlier this season in February, the Tribe earned its highest national ranking in a decade coming at No. 45. Included in the Tribe's haul of wins is a 4-3 upset of then-No. 25 South Carolina in Williamsburg on Feb. 9. W&M is 2-0 in CAA play and in line to garner the top seed in the league championship thanks to victories over Elon, 4-3, and James Madison, 7-0.

Saturday will be the final home match in the careers of
Christian Cargill,
Lars de Boer and
Alec Miller. The group has led W&M to 52 wins over the last four seasons. All three members of the class played a major role in the program's fourth CAA Championship in 2015. Earlier this season, they led the Tribe to its highest national ranking in a decade after a win over then-No. 25 South Carolina.
Lars de Boer
A two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete honoree and a four-time W&M Provost Award winner … Tallied 53 career singles wins and 45 career doubles victories … Totaled a 37-27 dual-match ledger during his career … Tied for the team lead in singles wins with 18 in 2014-15, helping W&M to the CAA Championship.
Alec Miller
Earned Second Team All-CAA honors in 2016 … Totaled a 63-49 career singles ledger … Leads the Tribe with 15 doubles wins in 2017-18 and has 29 over his Tribe career … Topped the team in singles wins during both the 2014-15 (18) and 2015-16 seasons (19).
Christian Cargill
Twice named the CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2016 and 2017 … A three-time First Team All-CAA selection between singles and doubles … A five-time All-CAA honoree overall … Named the 2015 CAA Rookie of the Year … Tallied 61 career singles wins, including a team-high 16 in 2017-18 … Ranks ninth in program history with 80 doubles wins and 13th in career doubles winning percentage (.635).
Scouting Charlotte
The 49ers have won three of their last four matches and sport a 12-13 record, including a 1-2 mark in Conference USA play. Charlotte owns impressive wins over Clemson and Florida Atlantic. The 49ers are 1-1 against the CAA, topping Elon, 4-3, and falling at UNCW, 5-2. They are coming off a pair of road wins at Winthrop, 6-1, on April 6 and at Wofford, 4-3, on April 8. Freshman Luca Keist holds down the top singles post and is 16-7 on the year. He was ranked No. 125 nationally in the latest ITA Singles Rankings. Fellow freshman Benjamin Wayand leads the team with 20 singles wins, including 11 in duals playing as high as No. 2, while sophomore Constandinos Christoforou totaled 18 singles wins, including 10 between the No. 2 and No. 3 posts. In doubles, Christoforou and Kesit are 9-4 in dual-match play and 7-3 at the top spot.
Series History: W&M vs. Charlotte
The Tribe holds a 3-0 advantage in the all-time series, and the 49ers will make their first trip to the Williamsburg on Saturday. The teams meet for the first time since 1993 when the Green and Gold notched a 5-0 win over Charlotte in Davidson, N.C.
Scouting Old Dominion
ODU rides a seven-match winning streak into its match-up with the Tribe on Sunday. The Monarchs are 15-6 on the year, including a 3-0 CUSA record, and currently ranked No. 34 nationally. Old Dominion is coming off a 4-3 win at Drake on April 7. During its recent seven-match streak, ODU downed George Washington, Middle Tennessee, FAU, Charlotte and VCU along with its victory over the Bulldogs. Adam Moundir holds down the No. 1 singles position and is 11-6 in dual-match play. Aziz Kijametovic is ranked No. 96 nationally and is 13-4 playing primarily at No. 2. In doubles, Kijametovic and Francois Musitelli are 7-5 at the No. 1 spot and currently ranked No. 66 nationally.
Series History: W&M vs. Old Dominion
W&M and Old Dominion have met 57 times since the 1977 season, making it the Tribe's most-played rivalry over that stretch. ODU leads the series 33-24, including a 14-8 mark in Norfolk. Seven of the last 10 meetings between the two schools have been decided by narrow 4-3 margins, including five of the last six. Last season, ODU downed the Tribe 4-3 in Williamsburg.

The Tribe returns to action when it takes part in the 2018 Colonial Athletic Association Championship, April 20-22. The event will be held at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center in Elon, N.C., for the third-straight year. The seeding for the CAA Championship will be released from the conference office early next week. The Tribe opens play in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 20. The quarterfinals are slated for both 9 a.m., and 1 p.m., depending on seed. The CAA Semifinals are set for Saturday, April 21, at 10 a.m., with the championship match on Sunday, April 22, at 10 a.m.
