WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Winners of three in a row, the William & Mary women's tennis team returns home to face Big Ten counterpart Maryland on Saturday, Feb. 10. The match carries a 1 p.m., start time from the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
The match with Maryland marks the Tribe's fifth this season against a Power Five opponent and second versus the Big Ten. W&M was originally slated to host Wake Forest on Sunday, Feb. 11, but the match has been rescheduled for April 2. The Demon Deacons won their ITA Kick-Off Weekend Regional in January and earned a spot in the ITA National Indoor Championships, which are set for Feb. 9-12 in Madison, Wis.

Scouting the Tribe
The Tribe ran its win streak to three matches with a pair of wins at Dartmouth last weekend. The Green and Gold topped ACC foe Boston College, 4-3, on Saturday, before blitzing the host and reigning Ivy League champion Big Green, 6-1, on Sunday. Rosie Cheng rounded out the dominating performance with her second nationally-ranked triumph of the dual-match season, downing No. 78 Kristina Mathis in three sets. On Wednesday, both Cheng and Tanielian earned ITA National Singles Rankings. Cheng garnered the first national ranking of her career at No. 68, while Tanielian was ranked for the second poll in a row coming in at No. 120. Thaler leads the Tribe in singles wins with 14, while both Perry and Tanielian own 13. Goodman has won four-straight contests and leads the team with a 5-2 dual-match record. W&M owns 18 wins over Power Five Conference opponents under head coach

Scouting Maryland
The Terrapins enter the match-up at 1-2 on the season. Maryland opened the season with a 5-2 home win over Harvard on Jan. 21, before dropping both matches of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The Terps fell to host and No. 6 Pepperdine, 4-0, before dropping another 4-0 decision to Rice. Eva Alexandrova and Ekaterina Tour have split time at the top two singles spots. Alexandrova is 1-1 at No. 1, while Tour is 1-1 in duals at No. 1 and No. 2. Alexandrova and Zoe Kulkarni lead the Terps with eight singles wins each. Millie Stretton, who is 13-3 individually in doubles, and Alexandrova are 1-1 at top doubles post. In the win over Harvard, Maryland won the doubles point and then received singles wins from Alexandrova (No. 1), Tour (No. 2), Stretton (No. 3) and Kulkarni (No. 6).
