W&M News and Notes
- While Delaware leads the all-time series at 24-13, the Tribe has won each of the last five meetings. During its five-game win streak over the Blue Hens, the Green and Gold is averaging 88.2 points per game with an average margin of victory at 22.2 points.

- Saturday's game marks the Tribe's fourth annual Gold Rush Game, and the second against Delaware. W&M downed the Blue Hens, 90-64, during the 2016 event. In the previous three Gold Rush Games, the Tribe has averaged 85.7 points per contest, while shooting 53.1 percent in three wins. The Gold Rush Games have also been some of the best attended in the CAA, averaging 5,396 fans. Both the 2015 and 2016 events produced the top attendance figures in the CAA for those seasons, including 6,028 in 2016.

- Over the last five years, the Tribe is the winningest program in the CAA in terms of league wins (51) and overall winning percentage (60.9). W&M's 92 wins over the last five years are just two behind Towson's league-leading 94. The Tigers have played nine more games than the Tribe during that stretch.

- The Tribe is the best shooting team in the country, as the only program to rank among the top 10 nationally at all three levels. W&M leads the country in 3-point percentage (44.2), while ranking third in free throw shooting (79.9) and seventh in field goal percentage (50.9). No team in NCAA history has shot 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from 3-point range and 80 percent from the free throw line in the same season, and only three have shot 50-40-75.

- Since 1994, the Tribe's 44.2 percent from 3-point range is the second-best shooting rate nationally, trailing only UC Davis' 44.7 percent in 2014-15. W&M's current 3-point rate is the highest in NCAA history for a team making at least 10.5 3-pointers per game.

- Over the last five games, sophomore Justin Pierce is averaging 20.8 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. He erupted for a career-high 30 points to go with 12 rebounds vs. Elon on Feb. 1 after hitting for 27 points with 14 rebounds at Towson on Jan. 25. Pierce ranks among the CAA leaders in 10 different categories. He is third in the league and 46th nationally in rebounding at 9.0 per contest.

- For the sixth-straight season and 10th time in the last 11 years, the Tribe topped the 400-assist mark. W&M has 428 assists in 2017-18 and is looking for its third-straight 500-assist campaign. The Tribe ranks 10th nationally at 17.8 assists per game, which would top last year's school record mark of 17.5.

- Sophomore Nathan Knight was named to the Lou Henson Award Mid-Season Watch list, which annually recognizes the nation's top Division I mid-major player. He ranks sixth in the CAA and 82nd nationally at 18.7 points per game to go along with 7.4 rebounds. Knight, who is a two-time CAA Player of the Week, ranks 78th nationally with seven double-doubles, including three of the 30-point, 10-rebound variety and four in CAA play. He is 35th in the country shooting 57.1 percent from the floor.

- According to advanced statistical website KenPom.com, the Tribe ranks fifth nationally in effective field goal percentage (59.0) and 40th in adjusted offensive efficiency  (114.7). W&M has been in the top 60 in adjusted offensive efficiency each of the previous four seasons with a high of No. 31 in 2015. W&M has ranked among the top 25 in effective field goal percentage each of the last six seasons, including as high as No. 6 in both 2013-14 and 2014-15.

- With his nine assists at UNCW, senior David Cohn became W&M's all-time leader in career assists, surpassing the previous mark of 409 held by Scott Coval (1983-86). Cohn ranks 24th among active Division I players in career assists with 468 after playing his freshman season at Colorado State. Cohn leads the CAA and ranks 12th nationally at 6.5 assists per game. His 2017-18 assists total of 156 is third on the Tribe's singles-season list and only 12 off Coval's school-record mark of 168 set in 1985.

- Senior Connor Burchfield is the top 3-point shooter in country both this season and over his career. He currently leads the nation at 52.5 percent from long range, while ranking 32nd in 3-pointers made (3.0). Burchfield is the active NCAA Division I career leader at 50.8 percent from 3-point range. His 163 career 3-pointers rank ninth in Tribe history, while his 73 triples this season are sixth in program lore.

- Three times in CAA play senior David Cohn tallied a career-high 26 points. After averaging 10.5 points per game in the non-conference, Cohn has upped his production to 17 per contest in CAA play, which ranks 11th in the league.

- The Green and Gold leads the CAA and ranks 20th nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.41. It marks the fifth-straight season that the Tribe has ranked among the top 40 in the country and the third consecutive in the top 25. Last season, W&M ranked 18th nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.40 after coming in 11th at 1.51 in 2015-16.
