WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's tennis team totaled four singles wins on the opening day of the Commonwealth Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Folkes Stevens Tennis Center. Seniors

Mila Saric notched singles wins.
The trio of Tanielian, Goodman and Saric posted straight-set wins over Virginia opponents. Tanielian downed UVa sophomore Hunter Bleser, 6-4, 6-2, while Goodman posted a 6-4, 7-6 (7) triumph over the Cavaliers' Maya Das. Saric won her first career match, upending Lizzie Baker, 6-3, 6-1.
Okuyama rounded out the Tribe's wins with a come-from-behind three-set victory over Virginia Tech freshman Annie Clark. After the Hokie rookie won the opening set, 6-2, Okuyama bounced back to take the second by a matching 6-2 margin. In the third set, the Tribe sophomore pulled out her 10th career win with a 6-4 victory.
The Tribe continues action on Saturday, squaring off against Old Dominion in doubles action beginning at 10 a.m. W&M also faces Virginia Tech in singles action later in the day.
