WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary men's soccer team scored three goals over an eight-minute stretch in the first half to outdistance Navy, 3-1, in its lone exhibition match on Saturday night at Martin Family Stadium. Senior
William Eskay and junior
Antonio Bustamante factored in all three Tribe goals with Eskay scoring the first two and Bustamante adding the other to go along with two assists.
Both Eskay goals came in less than three minutes, including the initial marker of the match at the 10:27 mark. Bustamante started the play, leading junior
Ryder Bell to the right endline. The cross found Eskay at the penalty spot, and he finished into the left side of the frame.
Just 2:40 later, Eskay used his speed to make it 2-0 in favor of the home side. Bustamante made a leading pass into the area to a rushing Eskay, and the senior slotted it home past the diving Navy goalkeeper Mac Burke.
Bustamante found a goal of his own in the 19th minute. Sophomore
Julian Ngoh and Eskay set up the tally on a combo play along the right endline. Bustamante collected the cross at the back of the 18-yard box and finished inside the near post to increase the lead to 3-0. Navy added its goal in the 76th minute on a header from Nicko West to provide the final margin.

Inside the Numbers
- W&M outshot Navy, 16-7, on the evening, including 7-1 advantage in the first half. They placed five of their 16 shots on frame. Bustamante and Eskay led the Tribe with three shots apiece, while Ngoh and Bell each added two.
- After ranking among the top 10 nationally in goals, assists, points and goals per game last season, the Tribe was at it again on Saturday. The Green and Gold not only scored three times, but added five assists to finished with 11 points as a team. Last season, W&M averaged 1.95 goals (41), 1.85 assists (39) and 5.76 points per game (121).
- In total, 22 Tribe players saw action with everyone playing at least 17 minutes. Ten different W&M players also registered a shot on the evening.
- The Tribe recorded three corner kicks to just one for Navy.

Daniel McBride made his first appearance for the Tribe in the exhibition and finished with a save, while also allowing the lone Midshipmen goal in just over 18 minutes of action.
