THE TRIBE. William & Mary enters Saturday at 7-5-2 overall and 2-2-2 in CAA play following a 1-1 draw at Charleston last weekend.

Freshman Brown Huffard scored the equalizer in the 34th minute against the Cougars, helping the Tribe secure a point on the road. The goal was Huffard's seventh of the season and extended his scoring streak to three consecutive games.

W&M is unbeaten in its last three games, including back-to-back 4-0 victories over Howard and Navy.

William & Mary has scored 30 goals through 14 games, ranking second in the CAA with 2.14 goals per game. The Green and Gold have been particularly productive after halftime, scoring 20 of their 30 goals in the second half.

HUFFARD HEATING UP. Huffard continues to make an impact during his freshman campaign, leading the Tribe with seven goals and ranking third on the team with 15 points.

The McLean, Va., native earned three honors this week following a three-goal performance across two games against Navy and Charleston.

Huffard was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, earning his fourth weekly conference honor of the season after previously receiving three consecutive CAA Rookie of the Week awards to open the year.

The freshman added national recognition Tuesday, earning a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week and being named the College Soccer News Freshman of the Week.

Huffard recorded the first multi-goal game of his collegiate career against Navy, scoring twice in the Tribe's 4-0 victory before adding the equalizer at Charleston.

He has scored four goals over his last three games and is tied for second in the CAA with seven goals this season. Huffard has scored on seven of his 14 shot attempts and has recorded two game-winning goals.

RUITENBERG LEADING THE WAY. Senior Gabe Ruitenberg continues to pace the Green and Gold offensively, leading the Tribe with 17 points on four goals and nine assists.

Ruitenberg leads the CAA in total assists and assists per game, averaging 0.64 per contest. His nine assists are tied for third nationally, while his 0.64 assists per game rank tied for seventh in Division I.

The senior recorded two assists in each of W&M's victories over Howard and Navy, giving him four assists over that two-game stretch.

Freshman Aidan Gatchell ranks second on the Tribe with 16 points on five goals and six assists. Gatchell earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors and TopDrawerSoccer Men's Team of the Week honorable mention recognition earlier this month following his five-point performance against Howard.

Sophomore Alex Garrison has added 11 points on five goals and an assist, while Beckham Harris has contributed seven points on three goals and an assist.

Ruitenberg, Huffard and Garrison have each recorded two game-winning goals this season.

GARCIARENA IN GOAL. Senior Diego Garciarena has started all 14 games in goal for the Tribe, recording 47 saves and four shutouts.

Garciarena owns a 7-5-2 record with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .691 save percentage. He has played nearly every minute for W&M this season.

The senior recorded consecutive shutouts against Howard and Navy, bringing his season total to four and his career total to nine.

Garciarena is tied for second in the CAA with four shutouts this season.

THE CAMELS. Campbell enters Saturday at 0-12-2 overall and 0-6 in CAA action following a 5-2 setback against Gardner-Webb on Tuesday.

The Camels have scored 14 goals through 14 games while allowing 34, averaging one goal per contest. Campbell is 0-6-2 at home this season.

Augustus Squillace leads the Camels with eight points on three goals and two assists. Xander Martin ranks second with seven points on two goals and three assists, while Kana Dube and Andrey Mora have each contributed six points on two goals and two assists.

Campbell has used three goalkeepers this season. Caiden Lee has appeared in seven games, recording 22 saves and one shutout, while David Skorodumov has made six appearances with 19 saves. Kaeden Johnson has appeared in two games, recording 15 saves.

The Camels are led by first-year head coach Ricky Davey, who arrived in Buies Creek after serving as associate head coach at Mercer.

Saturday will also serve as Campbell's Senior Night and Alumni Day, with the Camels recognizing their senior class before the game.

TRIBE VS. CAMELS. William & Mary holds a 6-4 advantage in the all-time series against Campbell.

The programs met earlier this season on Sept. 26, when the Tribe earned a 2-1 victory at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field.

The victory snapped a four-game losing streak against the Camels and gave W&M its first win in the series since 2016.

William & Mary's most recent road victory against Campbell came on Sept. 10, 2016, when the Tribe earned a 5-1 win in Buies Creek.

The Green and Gold will be seeking their first road victory against the Camels since Campbell joined the CAA.

CAA PICTURE. Saturday's game carries significant implications in the CAA South Division standings as the regular season approaches its conclusion.

UNCW leads the division with 16 points at 5-0-1 in conference play, followed by Elon with 10 points and Charleston with nine.

William & Mary sits fourth with eight points at 2-2-2, just one point behind Charleston and two behind Elon. The Tribe have played one fewer conference game than both programs.

A victory Saturday would move W&M to 11 points, ahead of both Charleston and Elon in the South Division standings entering the final weekend of conference play.

The Tribe have two CAA games remaining, traveling to Campbell before returning home to face nationally ranked UNCW in the regular-season finale.

BACK ON THE ROAD. Saturday marks the second consecutive road game for William & Mary following last weekend's draw at Charleston.

The Tribe are 2-3-2 away from Williamsburg this season, with road victories over UMBC and American.

W&M will close out its regular-season road schedule with games at Campbell and No. 16 North Carolina before returning to Williamsburg for its home finale.

WHAT'S NEXT. William & Mary continues its road stretch Tuesday, Oct. 27, traveling to face No. 16 North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., with the game streamed on ACC Network Extra.

The Tribe then return home Saturday, Oct. 31, to host No. 24 UNCW in the regular-season finale at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m., with the game streamed live on FloCollege.
