Alexandra Masaquel tied a school record shooting a perfect 8-for-8 and scored a team-high 16 as William & Mary women's basketball topped Hofstra 81-65 on Tuesday night at Kaplan Arena. Masaquel also added four rebounds and four assists as she led four Tribe players in double-figures. Senior
Marlena Tremba added 15 points on five made triples, while she grabbed three rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Junior
Abby Rendle added 14 points, grabbed four rebounds, added a career-high four helpers, and had two rejections. Sophomore
Bianca Boggs rounded out the double-figure scorers with 16 points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a steal. W&M, to steal a line from Dan Patrick, was simple en fuego in the second and third quarter. The Tribe shot a combined 21-for-28 (75-percent) in the two quarters and scored 52 points.
Scouting the Dragons
Drexel returns to Philadelphia as they open a weekend homestand by hosting the Tribe on Friday night. The Dragons have won two of their last three and own a 16-6, 7-4 CAA record. DU is scoring 65.9 points a night, while limiting teams to just 54.6 points a game. Sarah Curran leads the three players in double-figures with 15.7 points per game. Jessica Pellechio is second on the team with 11.7 points per night, while Meghan Creighton rounds out the double-figure scorers with 10.4 points a game. The Dragons bring down just 32 rebounds a game. Kelsi Lidge, who is averaging 4.6 rebounds a night, leads them on the glass. Bailey Greenberg is just off of the pace with 4.4 boards a game. Denise Dillion is in her 14th season at the helm of Drexel. She owns a 248-182 record during her time in Philadelphia.
Series History
The Green and Gold meets Drexel for the 37th time in series history on Friday night. Tonight is the first of two regular season meetings, as the Dragons to return Williamsburg for the regular season finale on Wednesday, March 1. The Road Ahead
W&M closes the weekend as they welcome Towson to Kaplan Arena on Sunday, Feb. 12. The game will serve as the Tribe's annual Pink Game. All fans who wear pink receive $1 tickets to the game. On its upcoming homestand the Tribe also welcomes College of Charleston on Friday, Feb. 17. Tip times are scheduled foe 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.

The Green and Gold enjoyed the eighth-best shooting percentage in a single game against Hofstra on Feb. 7. The Tribe connected on 56.1-percent of its shots. The hot streak pushed them to the top field goal percentage in the league at 42.7-percent.
Sharing the Rock
W&M recorded a season-high 24 assists in the win versus Hofstra on Feb. 7. That number ranks as the 11th best game in school history. For the season, the Green and Gold as assisted on 359 baskets good for best in the CAA and 53rd nationally. The Tribe also ranks first in the CAA and 32nd in the NCAA with 16.3 assists per game.
