- The William & Mary women's basketball team looks to make it six in a row as it closes a stretch of five games in 10 days. W&M welcomes in USC Upstate for a match-up on Tuesday night. Tonight's game will be the last for the Tribe until Sunday, Dec. 17 against Old Dominion because of exams.
- For the third time this season, W&M shot better than 50-percent in a game in the win at St. Francis. W&M is shooting 46.1-percent (219-for-475) from the floor this year, which is a league-best and good for 27th in the country.
- Each of the last two seasons, the Tribe has set a new school record for non-conference regular season wins with nine in 2015-16 and 10 last season. In its last 30 non-conference games, W&M has posted a 26-4 mark.
- After losing its top two scorers from last season, W&M has put, at least, three players in double-figures in all seven games this season and has had four players in double-figures in the last five games. Seniors
Jenna Green and
Abby Rendle as well as junior
Bianca Boggs have scored in double-figures in seven of the eight games, while sophomores
Victoria Reynolds (five times) and
Nari Garner (twice) have also scored in double-figures, in at least one game, this
season.
- One of the Tribe's biggest question marks heading into the season was who was going to hit 3-pointers with the graduation of Marlena Tremba, Latrice Hunter, and Alexandra Masaquel, who combined for 66-percent of the team's 3-pointers last season. W&M has responded by shooting 40.3-percent (48-for-119) from range, which is good for first in the CAA and 20th in the country. Sophomore
Nari Garner leads the team and is 14-of-33 (42.4-perencet) from range this season.
- Senior
Abby Rendle recorded her fourth double-double the season, which ranks second in the CAA and 17th national, with 11 points and 10 rebounds at St. Francis (Pa.). Since not scoring in the season opener, Rendle is averaging 15.7 points, 10. 2 rebounds, and 6.1 blocks per game.
- Not only is senior
Jenna Green scoring at a higher rate this season, but she is also finding her teammates at a higher clip. The Clifton, Virginia native has been in double-figures in seven games and is averaging 11.4 points per game. She has added 51 assists, which is good for 14th in the country, while her 6.4 apg. rank her 21st.
- W&M's new all-time blocks leader senior
Abby Rendle broke the school record with her 256th career block in the game against Davidson. Rendle leads the country with 44 blocks and 5.5 bpg. this season. She is also just eight blocks away from passing WNBA All-Star Elena Delle Donne's CAA career blocked shot record. Her 266 blocks are the fourth most active in the NCAA currently.
- Junior
Bianca Boggs has had a strong start to the season. She has been the team's leading scorer three times, and is coming off of the most points in the CAA game when she had 33 points in the win at St. Francis (Pa.). The Waldorf, Md. native has also added 11 blocks and 18 steals. For the year she is averaging a team-high 17.1 points per game, which is second in the CAA, to go along with 4.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
- For the past four seasons, W&M has led the CAA in steals each year. So far this season, the Tribe is doing much of the same. W&M has 86 thefts, which is first in the CAA and ranks 24th nationally. The Tribe's 10.8 spg. are also first in the CAA and 48th in the NCAA.
