WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Winners in six of it last seven games, the William & Mary men's basketball team travels to No. 12-ranked TCU on Friday night. The contest, which carries a 9 p.m. ET start time, pits two of the top offensive teams in the country. The Green and Gold ranks second in the country in field goal (52.5), 3-point (46.9) and free throw (80.6) percentage to go along the 14th-best scoring average in the country at 88.2 points per game. TCU is 16th nationally at 87.6 points per game, while also coming in eighth in field goal percentage (52.0) and 12th in 3-point shooting (42.1).

W&M News and Notes
- W&M has won six of its last seven games entering Friday night's tilt with TCU. It marks the program's fifth game against the Big 12 since it was founded in 1996. The Tribe has faced Texas Tech, Kansas State, Missouri, and West Virginia, including the latter three under head coach
Tony Shaver in 2006, 2011 and 2013, respectively.
- The Green and Gold is the best shooting team in the country, ranking second nationally in 3-point (46.9), free throw (80.6) and field goal (52.5) percentages. W&M is the only team to rank among the top 25 nationally in all three shooting categories and is one of only three teams, along with Villanova and St. Mary's (Calif.), shooting 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from 3-point range and 75 percent at the free throw line.
- The Tribe offense is among the best in the country, averaging 88.2 points per game. Along with ranking 14th nationally in scoring and in the top five in all three shooting categories, W&M is fourth in 3-pointers made (11.9), 14th in assists (17.7) and 29th in assist-to-turnover ratio. The Tribe leads the CAA in all seven offensive categories.
- W&M set a program record with 126 points in the victory over Milligan on Dec. 17. It marked the Tribe's fourth game with 100 points this season, which is the most in program history. Earlier this season, W&M poured in 108 points in a win at Savannah State, which was the most for the program on the road in school history. Over the last two seasons, the Tribe has seven games of 100 or more points.
- Sophomore
Justin Pierce recorded his fourth double-double in the last eight games with 20 points and 10 rebounds against Milligan. It was his second 20-10 double-double this season to go along with a 21-point, 17-rebound performance at Savannah State. He is nearly averaging a double-double at 13.9 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest. Pierce, who is 49th nationally in rebounding, has led the Tribe
in rebounding in eight of its 10 games.
- Senior
David Cohn produced his CAA-leading fourth double-digit assist game with 10 helpers vs. Milligan. He has nine over his Tribe career, which is a program record. Over the last seven games, he is averaging nine assists, including a career-high 13 vs. Marshall. Cohn leads the CAA and ranks ninth nationally at 7.2 assists per game. In just three seasons, he ranks fifth in program history with 355 assists and is just three away from fourth place.
- Sophomore
Nathan Knight has been the Tribe's top offensive threat, ranking third in the CAA and 56th nationally at 19.6 points per game. He has produced two 30-point, 10-rebound double-doubles in 2017-18. Knight has scored in double figures in all 10 games this season. He also ranks 17th nationally at 2.8 blocks per game and 43rd in free throws made (59).
– W&M is one of only two teams, along with 2017 national runner-up Gonzaga, to rank among the top 30 nationally in field goal percentage each of the last six years. After ranking 10th in 2016-17, the Tribe is currently second in the country at 52.5 percent from the floor.
- According to the website KenPom.com, W&M ranked among the top 25 nationally in effective field goal percentage each of the last six seasons, including 2017-18. W&M is currently seventh at 59.5 percent and finished as high as No. 6 in both 2013-14 and 2014-15.

Connor Burchfield (30-of-46) and sophomore
Matt Milon (22-of-38) have combined to shoot 61.9 percent (52-of-84) from 3 and hitting nearly eight triples per game (7.4). On the year, Burchfield leads the CAA in 3-point percentage (56.7) and 3-pointers made (3.4), coming in fifth and 24th nationally. Milon is second in the league and seventh nationally in 3-point percentage (53.6). They are the only pair of teammates to rank in the top 10 in 3-point shooting.
- Over the last seven games, W&M is averaging 22.5 assists per game and has produced four games with 20 or more assists. On the season, the Tribe averages 18.9 assists per game, which leads the CAA and ranks 14th nationally. W&M dished out 30 assists vs. Milligan, which ranked second in program history. Over the last two years, the Tribe has produced 14 games of 20 or more assists (14-0), and since 2010, is 33-1 when accomplishing the feat.
