WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary men's basketball team welcomes its second-straight Conference USA foe in Marshall on Wednesday night inside Kaplan Arena. The contest, which is slated for 7 p.m., pits two of the top scoring offenses and best 3-point shooting teams in the country.

W&M News and Notes
- W&M meets its second-straight Conference USA opponent in Marshall on Wednesday. The Tribe is 5-3 all-time against the league, which was founded in 1995, but has won five the last six contests vs. C-USA teams, including a 79-77 win over Old Dominion on Saturday.
- Senior
David Cohn was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week on Monday, earning the first weekly honor of his career. Cohn averaged 14.5 points, 10 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in W&M's wins last week. He scored a career-high 25 points to go with nine assists and a career-high four steals in the win over Old Dominion after recording his sixth career double-digit assist game with 11 vs. Shenandoah.
- In each of its three wins this season, the Tribe shot 50 percent or better from the floor. Over the last two games, W&M is shooting 56 percent (65-of-116) from the floor. The Tribe and national runner-up Gonzaga are the only programs to rank among the top 30 nationally each of the previous five seasons.
- W&M has been on fire from 3-point range, producing two of the top-10 efforts in program history and shooting 61.4 percent (35-of-57) over the last two games. The Tribe shot 62.5 percent (20-of-32) in the win over Shenandoah, which ranked fourth in program history, and followed up with the seventh 60 percent (15-of-25) showing in Tribe lore vs. ODU. W&M hit 10-of-12, including each of its final six triples, in the second half against the Monarchs.
- W&M is averaging 89 points per game over the last two contests. On the year, the Tribe ranks third in the CAA at 79 points per game. W&M is the only team in the CAA to rank among the top three in scoring each of the last six seasons.
- The Green and Gold has been one of the top free throw shooting teams in the country. W&M is shooting 78 percent at the charity stripe, which leads the CAA and ranks 27th nationally.
- The Tribe leads in the CAA in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.3) and is second in assists per game (15.4). Over the last five years, W&M led the CAA in assists on four occasions and ranked first or second in assist-to-turnover ratio every season.
- Sophomore
Justin Pierce owns double-doubles in two of the Tribe's last three games. He led W&M with 19 points, 10 rebounds and five assists at UCF, before totaling 15 points and 10 rebounds vs. ODU. He ranks among the CAA leaders in seven different statistical categories, including third in rebounding (8.3), fifth in field goals percentage (.533) and 13th in scoring (15.0).
- Over the last four contests, sophomore
Matt Milon is shooting 62.5 percent (15-of-24) from 3-point range. On the year, he leads the CAA and ranks 11th in the country in 3-point percentage (57.1), while ranking second in the league and 47th nationally at 3.2 3's per game.
- Sophomores
Nathan Knight (17.2),
Justin Pierce (15.0) and
Matt Milon (13.0) are the Tribe's top three scorers and each ranks among the top 20 in the CAA. The group accounts for 57.2 percent (226-of-395) of W&M's points in 2017-18. Each has scored in double figures in the last four games.

Paul Rowley and sophomores
Nathan Knight and
Justin Pierce, ranks among the top 10 in the CAA in blocked shots. Knight is second (2.8) followed by Rowley in third (1.8) and Pierce in eighth (0.8).
- Junior
Paul Rowley holds a distinction that few ever have in college basketball. After graduating from W&M in just three years with a double major in finance and computer science, Rowley started his first year of law school this fall. Last year, he became the first men's basketball player since 1912 to be named Phi Beta Kappa. Rowley is currently one of two Division I players in law school (Pepperdine's Kevin Hempy), but he is the only men's player to be a recruited scholarship player and attend law school at the same institution that he earned his undergraduate degree.
