FAIRFAX, Va. – The William & Mary men's soccer team conclude its preseason play with a 2-2 draw at George Mason on Saturday night in Fairfax, Va. Junior

George Mason controlled the offense in the early stages of the match, firing the first two shots. Daniel Hoffman had the first shot of the night blocked, before he turned one on target that had to be saved by redshirt junior
Phil Breno.
William & Mary had a pair of chances in just over the first 20 minutes of the match. Sophomore
Ryder Bell pushed W&M's first shot of the game just wide, before his classmate
Antonio Bustamante clanked one off of the post in the 21st minute.
The Tribe jumped on the board first with a goal in the 24th minute of the match. Bustamante sent a feed that found Eskay. From the top left of the penalty area, Eskay uncorked his chance into the lower right corner of the net for the tally, giving W&M a 1-0 lead.
Right before the break, W&M doubled its lead with its second marker. Redshirt sophomore
Christian Jones sent a cross into the box that found Trott. The freshman was able to redirect the ball into the right corner of the net, extending the lead to 2-0.
The Patriots scored twice in the second half to tie the game. Tolunimi Ibikunle scored the first goal in 72nd minute, before Matt Tucker found the equalizer with less than 10 minutes remaining.
W&M had one final chance to score the winner in the 88th minute. Sophomore
Marcel Berry fired a shot, but it was stopped by Mason's Steffan Kraus.
Despite the draw, W&M outshot Mason 14-11, including a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal. Bell and Eskay fired a team-high three shots, while Breno made the Tribe's lone save in goal.
The regular season gets underway with a pair of home matches starting on Friday, Aug. 26 against George Washington, before hosting Coastal Carolina on Sunday, Aug. 29. Both matches start at 7 p.m.
