WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The William & Mary baseball team looks to keep its season alive as it continues play at the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament on Friday, May 27 at the Ballpark at Patriots Point in Charleston, S.C. W&M will face either No. 4-seeded James Madison or No. 5-seeded Northeastern in an elimination game. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

The William & Mary baseball team will look to keep its season alive after dropping its first game of the CAA Tournament to host College of Charleston Thursday afternoon. W&M faces the winner of No. 4-seeded James Madison and No. 5-seeded Northeastern on Friday, May 27 at 3:30 p.m.

Scouting the Huskies
Northeastern earned the No. 5 seed in the 2016 CAA Tournament and is currently 2-1 in this year's event. The Huskies sport a 31-26 overall record. Cam Walsh leads the Huskies offense with a .321 batting average with three doubles, two triples, one homer and 16 RBI. Pat Madigan has a team-high six homers and 30 RBI, while Keith Kelly is second on the team with four homers. Max Burt is second on the team with 30 RBI. On the mound, Aaron Civale anchors NU's rotation with nine wins, a 1.73 ERA, and 114.1 innings. Mike Fitzgerald leads the Huskies with 26 appearances and 11 saves. Tyler Robinson has also seen his share of action of the bullpen appearing in 23 games with a 2.31 ERA. Mike Glavine is in his second season as the Huskies headman. He has posted a 55-56.

Series History Versus No. 5 Northeastern
The Tribe would face Northeastern for the 30th time if the Huskies were to advance. The Tribe leads the all-time series 18-11, and it would be the second straight year the two teams met in the CAA Tournament. Earlier this season, W&M swept a three-game series in Boston. Sophomore
Cullen Large led the Tribe in the three game set, hitting .385 (5-for-13) with a double a homer, and two RBI. Senior
Josh Smith belted two homers in the series and drove in a team-high five runs. Powers went seven scoreless innings allowing five hits, and punching out four.

Family Ties
Everytime W&M and Northeastern meet it is a bit of a family reunion for a pair of coaches. Tribe pitching coach Brain Casey's younger brother Kevin Casey is an assistant and first base coach for NU.

The winner of this afternoon's contest will advance to the loser's bracket finals to take on the loser of the winner's bracket finals between UNCW and College of Charleston.
