WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The No. 70 William & Mary men's tennis team closes out its season-long six-match road swing at former Colonial Athletic Association rival and No. 48-ranked Old Dominion on Saturday, April 9. The contest carries a 2 p.m. start time at the Folkes-Stevens Center and will be run concurrent to the Tribe-Monarch women's tennis match at the facility.
Scouting #70 William & Mary The Tribe will play its second-straight road match of the week against a former CAA rival. W&M suffered its second-straight setback at VCU on Wednesday afternoon, falling to the Rams in a 4-1 tilt. Sophomore

Scouting #48 Old DominionOld Dominion enters the weekend at 15-4 on the year, having won 14 of its last 15 matches. The Monarchs are currently ranks No. 48 nationally in the latest ITA poll released on Tuesday. ODU owns four wins over nationally-ranked foes this season, including a 4-1 upset of No. 25 N.C. State in Raleigh on Feb. 28. The Monarch also downed No. 34 Dartmouth, 4-3, in Norfolk on Feb. 7. Last week, ODU tallied a pair of wins in Alabama, downing No. 74 UAB, 4-2, and topping South Alabama, 4-0. Adam Moundir is the Monarchs' top player, owning an overall record of 25-9. He is 11-5 at No. 1, including victories in each of his last six matches. Moundir tallied four wins over nationally-ranked competition this season and during the fall, was a singles finalist at the ITA Atlantic Regional. Aziz Kijametovic is an impressive 14-2 in dual-match singles action for ODU, including a 6-2 mark at the No. 2 position. He and Moundir combine to comprise the Monarchs' top doubles team. The duo is ranked No. 50 nationally and sits at 20-10 on the year. Kijametovic and Moundir won the ITA Atlantic Region Doubles Championship during the fall season.
Series History: W&M vs. Old Dominion W&M and Old Dominion have met 55 times since the 1977 season, making it the Tribe's most-played rivalry over that stretch. ODU leads the series 31-24, including a 13-8 mark in Norfolk. The 24 wins are the third most for the Green and Gold against an opponent since 1977. Six of the last eight meetings between the two schools have been decided by narrow 4-3 margins, including each of the last four. W&M won the last meeting in Norfolk, 4-3, during the 2014 campaign, while the Monarchs downed the Tribe, 4-3, last season in Williamsburg.
