WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The William & Mary baseball team concludes an eight-game road trip as they travel to Boston for a three-game CAA series against Northeastern. The set gets underway on Friday, April 22 at 3 p.m., continues on Saturday, April 23 at 1 p.m., before concluding on Sunday, April 24 at 12 p.m.

ON TAP                                                                                                                                                          • The William & Mary baseball team concludes its eight-game road trip with as it travels to Boston for a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series against Northeastern. The set gets underway on Friday, April 22 at 3 p.m., game two is set for Saturday, April 23 at 1 p.m., before the finale on Sunday, April 23 at noon.
• The Green and Gold is looking to get back into the win column following a pair of mid-week setbacks to Norfolk State and No. 13 North Carolina.

SERIES HISTORY• The Tribe faces Northeastern for the 27th-29th times this weekend in Boston. The Tribe leads the all-time series 15-11, but last season the Huskies won three of the four games, including a win in the CAA Tournament.
• Last year in the four game set, junior
Ryder Miconi led the Tribe offensively. He went 6-for-15 (.400), while adding a double and a run scored. Classmate
Matthew Tilley had a strong game in the CAA Tournament, collecting a pair of hits. On the mound, junior
Nick Brown recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts in a no decision.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES • Much like the Tribe, Northeastern is looking to rebound from a tough mid-week slate this weekend as they return to conference play. The Huskies enter this weekend's action with a 19-16 record, and a 7-4 record in league play just a game ahead of the Tribe. • • NU has a posted a .249 team batting average. Cam Walsh leads the offense with a .317 batting average adding two doubles, one triple and six RBI. Keith Kelly, Pat Madigan, and Josh Treff lead the Huskies with three homers, while Madigan leads the team with 21 RBI.
• On the mound, Northeastern has been very impressive posting a 3.68 team-era. Aaron Civale is the ace of the staff, posting a 6-1 record, a 2.19 ERA, throwing 70.0 innings with 68 strikeouts. Out of the bullpen, Mike Fitzgerald leads the team with 14 appearances, posting a 2.05 ERA, with a team-high six saves. Tyler Robinson, Andrew Misiaszek, and Will Jahn have all recorded saves for NU.
• Mike Glavine is in his second season at the helm of his alma mater. The younger brother of Major League Baseball Hall of Famer, Tom, Glavine owns a 44-46.

ON DECK• William & Mary returns home for its final mid-week games as the team opens its second seven-game homestand against Liberty on Wednesday, April 27. First pitch between the Tribe and the Flames is set for 6 p.m.
• The final homestand of the season continues when the Green and Gold welcome Delaware to Plumeri Park for a three-game series. The set gets underway on Friday, April 29 at 6 p.m. All three games will be broadcasted on TribeAthletics as part of the enhanced broadcast package.

SHEEHAN BODES WELL FOR THE TRIBE• Freshman
Bodie Sheehan has made his transition into the weekend rotation look seamless, so far. In his three weekend starts, he has posted a 5.23 ERA, tossing 20.2 innings, with 11 strikeouts, while opposing hitters are only batting .227 against him.
• Furthermore in his two CAA starts, he has just a 3.60 ERA, tossing 15 innings, fanning 11, while limiting opposing batters to a 2.2 batting average.
• For the season, Sheehan owns a 3-3 record with a 5.01 ERA, heaving 46.2 innings, with 24 strikeouts.

POWERED BY POWERS• For the second time this season, a Dan Powers start ended up as a Tribe shutout as the junior went a career-best 7.1 innings allowing just three hits as W&M took the series at James Madison. At Charlotte, Powers nearly did the same thing blanking the 49ers for the first seven innings.
• For his efforts last week, the Vienna, Va. native was named CAA Pitcher of the Week.
• Powers has a team-best five wins to go along with 24 strikeouts in 47.2 innings.

FAMILY AFFAIR• The William & Mary and Northeastern baseball teams have a bit more of an added connection than most teams. W&M assistant coach

SCORING IN BUNCHES• The Tribe ranks 40th in the country with 7.0 runs per game, but when the team starts scoring the runs usually come in bunches. W&M has had 23 innings this season, where they have plated four, or more runs.
• Furthermore, the Green and Gold have had five games where they have scored four, or more, runs in multiple innings.
• The most runs W&M has scored an inning this season has been 7 on April 3 against Georgetown, but the Tribe has also scored six runs an inning four times this season.Â

WALK THIS WAY•Senior
Josh Smith has had some flair for the dramatic this season with both of the Tribe's walk-off hits this season. Against Holy Cross he lifted a sacrifice fly to centerfield that scored
Kyle Wrighte on a sacrifice fly. On Saturday against Georgetown,
Josh Smith launched a walkoff homer over the centerfield wall sending the Tribe home winners.

Cullen Large currently leads the team with a 21-game on-base streak. He is third Tribe player to have an on-base streak reach 20-plus games joining junior
Ryder Miconi (28 games) and senior

Cullen Large launched his and William & Mary's first grand-slam of the season against Richmond March 22.
• Last season the Tribe combined for three grand-slam homers.

HALL PASS• Sophomore
Ryan Hall has burst onto the scene for the Tribe as a sophomore. He leads the team with a .363 batting average (53-of-146) with 11 doubles, a triple, two homers, and 23 RBI.
• The Chesterfield, Va. native has been even better in league play. He leads the team with a .435 average (20-for-46) with five doubles in six RBI.
• Hall is the lone Tribe starter not record an error defensively this season.
• He has reached base safely in all but three of the games he's played in this season.

WEEKLY AWARDS• Junior
Daniel Powers won the Tribe's fourth weekly award and its first pitcher of the week award for the week of April 18. Powers tossed a career-long 7.1 innings, scattering three hits and no runs, with three strikeouts in a win over JMU.
• Senior
Charley Gould was selected as the CAA Player of the Week for the week of March 21, becoming W&M's first weekly award winners. Gould batted .500 (9-for-18) with three doubles, two homers, seven runs scored and nine RBI's in William & Mary's 3-1 week, that included a conference series win at Elon.
• Both junior
Charles Ameer and freshman
Hunter Smith followed up Gould's weekly award with weekly awards of thier own. Ameer batted .714 (10-for-14) with four doubles, a homer, five runs scored and six RBI's from the leadoff spot, while
Hunter Smith hit .571 (8-for-14) with three doubles, a triple, a homer and 10 RBI in William & Mary's three wins last week.
