WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary men's tennis team continues its homestand with a pair of matches at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center this weekend. The Green and Gold welcomes its second Big South counterpart in as many weeks when it faces Radford on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. The Tribe closes out the weekend against its fourth Ivy League foe of the season in Penn on Sunday at 9 a.m.
Scouting the Tribe W&M upped its season mark to 3-2 with its doubleheader sweep of Coastal Carolina, 6-1, and Howard, 7-0, on Sunday. Sophomore
Christian Cargill led the way for W&M with wins at the No. 1 singles post in both matches, and for his efforts, was named the CAA Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Juniors

Scouting Radford Radford will open the dual-match season against the Tribe on Friday. The Highlanders were picked sixth in the preseason Big South poll by vote of the league coaches, but did receive a first-place vote. Last season, Radford finished the year at 9-11 overall and 3-4 in Big South play. Samuel Taylor led team with seven wins during the fall, while Janken Thoen, Jose Moreno Manzano and Michiel Meekers each tallied six. Taylor and Thoen comprise the Radford duo with the best double record at 6-4 in fall action.
Series History: W&M vs. RadfordThe Tribe leads the all-time series with Radford at 8-1, including a 6-0 mark in Williamsburg. W&M and RU have met just once since 1994 with the Green and Gold tallying a 4-1 win in Willamsburg during the 2013 campaign.
Scouting Penn The Quakers are 2-2 on the year and will travel to Norfolk to face Old Dominion on Saturday, before squaring off with the Tribe on Sunday. Penn opened the year with a win over Navy, 7-0, at home, before suffering a pair of losses in a trip to the Northwest. The Quakers fell to East Tennessee State in narrow fashion 4-3 in a two-match trip to Seattle, Wash. Penn dropped a 7-0 decision to the host and No. 45-ranked Washington a day later. Last weekend, they downed Middle Tennessee State, 5-2, in Philadelphia. Kyle Mautner, who finished the fall ranked No. 6 in the ITA Northeast region, has played the No. 1 spot for Penn, going 12-5 overall and 3-1 in dual matches. Josh Pompan, who owns 10 wins on the year, was also ranked in the Northeast region following the fall at No. 18. Matt Nardellla and Nicholai Westergaard have been strong in the middle of the Penn lineup during the dual-match season, going 3-1 to start. Westergaard and Austin Kaplan have played the first four matches of the year at the No. 1 doubles post, going 3-1 for Penn.
Series History: W&M vs. Penn The Tribe and Quakers have split the four meetings in the all-time series. Penn won the last two tilts, including 5-2 triumph in Philadelphia last season.
