News and Notes- James Madison leads the all-time series with W&M at 48-42, but the Tribe is 19-11 vs. the Dukes under head coach

- Saturday's match-up pits the top shooting team in the CAA against the league's top defense. W&M leads the conference at 48.4 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from 3-point range, while the Dukes boast the CAA's best field goal percentage defense (39.3) and 3-point defense (29.3).

- Over the last three seasons, W&M leads the CAA in both overall wins (59) and victories in CAA play (33). The Tribe owns double-digit league wins in each of the last three seasons.

Scouting James MadisonJames Madison enters the regular season finale at 20-10 overall and 10-7 in CAA play. The Dukes suffered a 69-67 setback at Towson in its most recent contest on Thursday.

JMU sports one of the CAA's top defenses. The Dukes are second in the league in adjusted defensive efficiency at 98.6. They limit teams to 68.4 points per game and shooting percentages of 39.3 from the floor and 29.3 from 3-point range. The defensive shooting percentages lead the CAA. JMU has been even better in league play, holding foes to just 37.8 percent shooting overall and 26.9 percent from 3-point range. Offensively, JMU averages 75.7 points per game, while ranking third in the league in field goal percentage (45.1) and 3-point percentage (36.3). The Dukes average 8.7 3-pointers made per game and rank second in the CAA in rebounding margin (+3.5).

Senior Ron Curry leads JMU and ranks fifth in the CAA at 17 points per game. He is scoring a league-best 19.1 points per game in league play. Curry, who is hitting 2.8 3-pointers per game in CAA play, ranks sixth in the league at 38.1 percent from long range and seventh in assists (3.6). Junior Shakir Brown is second on the Dukes in scoring at 11.3 points per game. He is fifth in the CAA at 38.6 percent from 3-point range and 13th in rebounding at 5.9 per game. Junior Yohanny Dalembert is JMU's top low-post player, averaging 9.1 points, seven rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots per game.

In the last meeting in Harrisonburg, the Green and Gold shot 60.4 percent from the floor in knocking off the Dukes, 84-65.

Omar Prewitt has scored in double figures in 25 of the Tribe's 28 games this season, including each of the last 10 contests. He leads the CAA and 86th nationally at 18 points per game. Prewitt owns five 20-point games in the last seven contests, including a career-long four-game streak from Feb. 4-13. Prewitt started the stretch with 28 points on 12-of-18 shooting in a win at Northeastern. He followed that up with 21 points against Delaware, 25 vs. Hofstra and 20 at Towson on Feb. 13. He recorded a season-high 29 points on 11-of-16 shooting against Drexel. His 12 20-point games this season lead the CAA. W&M is 8-4 when Prewitt scores 20 points this season and 11-4 when he leads them in scoring. Over the last seven games, he is averaging 22.1 points per game, shooting 55.2 percent from the floor and 48.2 percent from 3.Â

Rallying at the HalfHalftime deficits have not fazed the Tribe in 2015-16. The Green and Gold has trailed at the break this season on 12 occasions and is 8-4 in those games. W&M owns three wins in CAA play when trailing at the half. The Tribe rallied from a seven-point deficit at Elon in its most recent win on Feb. 25. The Green and Gold overcame a 12-point halftime deficit in a win over JMU on Jan. 31 and a six-point hole at the break on Feb. 4 at Northeastern. In the non-conference, W&M won its final three games over Mary Washington, High Point and Central Michigan when trailing at the half. It marked the first time since 2008 that the Tribe overcame halftime deficits in three straight games to pull out victories.

Winning on the RoadThe Tribe has enjoyed success on the road in 2015-16, winning seven games away from the friendly confines of Kaplan Arena. The seven road wins are tied for 37th nationally, as of Feb. 26. The total ranks sixth in W&M history. The school record of 10 road victories came under head coach
Tony Shaver during the 2009-10 season, and only five W&M teams have won eight or more road games in a season. With its wins at N.C. State and Liberty in November, W&M notched back-to-back road wins to open a season for just the third time in school history and the first since the 1945-46 season. It also marks just the eighth time in program annals that the Green and Gold has won its first two road games of the season. The Tribe's 85-68 win at N.C. State marked the 10th time in school history that W&M won a road game to open the season and the first since 1992-93.

Top Scoring Teams in School HistoryThe 2015-16 version of the Tribe is among the top scoring teams in school history, ranking in the top 10 in both total points and points per game. The Tribe's 2,173 points this season are sixth in program lore and only two away from moving into the top five.
