Hofstra enters the contest with W&M at 16-8 overall and 8-4 in CAA play. Following a four-game winning streak, which included a victory over the Tribe on Jan. 24, the Pride has lost its last two games by three points each. High-Scoring Offense
The Tribe has been on a tear of late scoring the basketball. Over the last seven games, W&M produced five contests of 86 or more points, including a trio of 90-point games. During the stretch, the Green and Gold is averaging 83.4 points per game. On the year, the Tribe is scoring 77.4 points per game, which is the fourth-best single-season scoring averaging in program history and the best since 1970 (78.4). In CAA play, W&M ranks second in the CAA at 78.7 points per game.

Prewitt Named CAA Player of the Week on Feb. 8.
Junior Omar Prewitt earned his first career CAA Player of the Week award on Feb. 8 after leading the Tribe to a pair victories. The Mount Sterling, Ky., native averaged 24.5 points per game in wins over Northeastern and Delaware. Prewitt scored a season-high 28 points on a career-best 12-of-18 from the floor to go with five rebounds in the Tribe's win at Northeastern. He tallied 17 of this 28 points in the second half as W&M rallied from a halftime deficit for the seventh time this season and from a 10-point hole early in the second half. On Saturday, Prewitt poured in 21 points, his 10th 20-point game of the season, on 6-of-8 from the floor and 7-of-8 at the free throw line in the #WMGoldRush win over Delaware.

Dishing David
Sophomore David Cohn has been the catalyst the Colonial Athletic Association's top offense. He produced his second game with double-digit assists (10) in the Tribe's win over Delaware on Feb. 6. He is one of only four players in Tribe history, along with Scott Coval (3 in 1984-85), Nick D'Antoni (3 in 2003-04) and David Cox (2 in 1994-95), to record multiple games of 10 or more assists in the same season. He dished out a career-high 11 assists compared to just one turnover at UNCW on Jan. 16.  It marked the first game in program history where a player produced a game with at least 11 assists and only one turnover. Cohn ranks third in the CAA and 85th nationally at 4.7 assists per game, which is the third-best per game average in W&M annals. He has been even better at 5.8 per contest in league action, which ranks second in the CAA. His 109 assists on the year marks the 15th-best single-season total in W&M and the most since 2010. He is only seven helpers away from the top 10 in program lore. Cohn has also protected the ball, sporting a CAA-best assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.2, which also ranks 21st nationally. His assist-to-turnover ratio would establish a new program record.

Most Watched Team in the CAA
The Tribe has been the CAA's most watched team in 2015-16, and with the #WMGoldRush on Feb. 6, had the top attended home game in the league this season. In its 90-64 win over Delaware on Feb. 6, W&M enjoyed its best attendance since 2010 with 6,028 fans. It bettered the previous CAA season-high of 5,288 for Northeastern's home tilt with then-No. 1-ranked Michigan State in December. W&M is averaging nearly 3,000 fans per home game this season, including more than 3,600 for league home contests. A total of 94,930 fans between home and away games have watched the Tribe this season, which is over 17,000 more than any other CAA team.

Prewitt Heating Up
During the Tribe's recent four-game winning streak, junior Omar Prewitt has taken his game to a higher level. Over the stretch, he is averaging 20.8 points, while shooting 62.5 percent from the field. He scored 20-plus points in each of the last two games at Northeastern (28) and vs. Delaware (21). Prewitt ranks third in the CAA with nine 20-point games this season, and W&M is 8-1 in those contests. He is fourth in the CAA at 17.3 points per game and has led W&M in scoring on 11 occasions. The Tribe is 10-1 on those occasions.

Great CAA Starts
For the second straight season, the Tribe equaled a program-best CAA start, opening up at 9-3. It marks the fourth time in the Green and Gold's 31 years a member of the CAA that W&M won nine of its first 12 games, including three occasions under head coach Tony Shaver. W&M started CAA play at 9-3 in 1997-98, 2007-08 and 2014-15. In two of those three seasons, the Tribe earned a share of the CAA regular season title, pulling the trick in 1997-98 and last year. The Tribe finished the 1997-98 at 13-3, while the Green and Gold closed out the CAA regular season in 12-6 a season ago.

Among the Best Starts in Program History
Thanks to its triumph on Saturday over Delaware, the Tribe improved to 17-6 on the year, its best record through 23 games since 1997-98. In fact, its tied for the second-best record in school history with only the 1948-49, which started 18-5, having a better mark. The 2015-16 season is the fifth in the 111-year history of W&M basketball that the Green and Gold recorded 17 wins in at least its first 23 games. The Tribe also accomplished the feat in 1929-30, 1948-49, 1949-50 and 1997-98. In three of the previous four years, the Green and Gold went on to win 20 or more games with the lone exception being in 1929-30 when the Tribe played just 23 games and finished at 17-6. The Tribe started 18-6 in 1949-50, 22-6 in 1948-49 and 20-6 in 1997-98. Coupled with its 20-win seasons in 2014 and 2015, W&M is attempting to win 20 or more games in three straight seasons for the just the second time in school history and the first since 1948-51.
