William and Mary Football Announces Class of 2015

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Feb. 4, 2015) - William and Mary head football coach Jimmye Laycock has announced the Tribe's 2015 signing class, which includes 13 student-athletes who have signed National Letters of Intent this morning.

“This is a group of young men we identified early in the process and were able to focus our efforts on creating solid relationships,” stated Laycock, who will enter his 36th season on campus in 2015. “The staff did an outstanding job of not only identifying outstanding and talented young men, but also addressing diverse areas of need. We are looking forward to working with these men, and I expect them to be competitive from Day 1.”

The incoming class is comprised of players from seven states, as well as Canada. In addition to three signees from Virginia, the class also includes players from Maryland (2), New Jersey (2), North Carolina (2), Florida (1), Ohio (1), Pennsylvania (1) and Canada (1).

The group consists of three defensive backs, two defensive linemen, two running backs, two offensive linemen, a quarterback, wide receiver, tight end and linebacker.

The Tribe's annual Green and Gold Spring Game is scheduled for April 11 at Zable Stadium. W&M will open the 2015 season at Lafayette on Sept. 5.
