STARTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT
The first half has been very kind to the Tribe in the early stages of this season. W&M has held the lead in the first half in all five contests. The Tribe is outscoring its opponents 178-136 in the first half. A large part of the first half success, is the Tribe's second quarter performance, where they are outscoring opponents 93-59. The Green and Gold is yet to be outscored in the second quarter as well.

STEALING THE SHOW
After struggling to force steals in its first three games this season, W&M had double-digit thefts against Loyola and American in its last two outings. For the season, the Tribe is averaging 8.0 steals a game. Sophomores Jenna Green and Abby Rendle lead the team with 1.6 steals a game.

ABBY ROAD
Sophomore Abby Rendle is starting to come into her own as the Tribe's center. She has had a strong start to the campaign averaging 10.0 points per game, with 7.6 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks. Rendle has scored in double-figures in the three of the last four contests for the Green and Gold. Not only has she be strong defensively, she's also helped facilitate the Tribe offense. She is averaging 1.4 assists, including a career-high four dimes against Grambling State.

WEEKLY AWARDS
Junior Marlena Tremba became the Tribe's first player to earn a weekly award when she was tabbed the CAA's first player of the week on the week of Nov. 16. The junior poured in a career-high 26 points in the season opener against Mount St. Mary's on her way to the award.

GRAND COUNTDOWN
With her second quarter layup against Grambling State junior Marlena Tremba eclipsed the 800-point mark of her just over two year career. Entering tonight's game against American she is just 149 from her 1,000 career point. She would become the 17th player in school history to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau.

COMMONWEALTH CLASH
Once again the William & Mary schedule is full of natural rivals including six-games against schools from the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Tribe plays Richmond (Nov. 20), Norfolk State (Dec. 17), VCU (Dec. 21), Old Dominion (Dec. 29), and James Madison (Jan. 3 & Feb. 19). The Tribe is currently 0-1 against teams from Virginia.

STRONG START
For just the seventh time in the Division I history of the program, and the 22nd time in school history the Tribe women's basketball program opened a season with back-to-back wins. The strong start continued as the Tribe improved the 4-1 for the first time since 1998-99 season and are off to, at least a 4-1 start for the 16th time in school history. With a victory tonight, the Tribe would be 5-1 for the frist time since 1998-99, when the Tribe started 7-1. It would be the 10th time in school history that the College has started, at least 5-1.
