News and Notes
 - W&M and ODU meet for the 43rd straight season on Tuesday night. The Monarchs lead the all-time series at 67-19. The Tribe had its three-game win streak in the series snapped last season in Norfolk, 69-62.

- The game against the Monarchs marks the fourth annual Shoeless Showdown. Tribe Athletics teams with Chick-fil-A and C&F Bank to raise awareness for children and adults in the area in need of shoes. Fans donating a new pair of shoes received free entry into the game along with other prizes. The W&M staff will coach the game without shoes to help raise awareness.

- A key to the Tribe's success in 2015-16 has been its defense. The Green and Gold leads the CAA in defensive 3-point percentage (26.6) and defensive field goal percentage (39.0).

- W&M has connected on double-digit 3-pointers in each of the last three games. The Tribe averaging 10.7 3-pointers per game, while shooting 47.1 percent from long range over those contests and 41.3 percent on the year, which leads the CAA.

- Junior Omar Prewitt, who ranks fourth in the CAA at 17.3 points per game, posted back-to-back double-doubles last week, averaging 19.5 points and 10 rebounds per game.

- The Tribe scored 33 points of the bench at Howard, including 19 from sophomore Connor Burchfield. W&M is averaging 21.2 points per game off the bench this season, shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 48.7 percent from 3-point range.

Scouting Old Dominion
Old Dominion enters the game with the Tribe at 3-3. After opening the season with three straight home wins, the Monarchs have dropped three straight falling to nationally-ranked Purdue (61-39), St. Joseph's (66-64) and VCU (76-67) in its three most recent contests.

The Monarchs feature one of the top defenses in the country. ODU ranks 18th nationally, allowing opponents just 59.8 points per game. They are 43rd in the country in 3-point percentage defense (28.3) and field goal percentage defense (38.1). According to the statistical site KenPom.com, the Monarchs are 73rd nationally in defensive efficiency at 98.1. Offensively, ODU averages 65.5 points per game, while shooting 40.8 percent from the field, 34 percent from 3-point range and 65.5 percent from the free throw line.

Senior Trey Freeman, who was a First Team All-Conference USA pick last season, leads ODU at 17 points per game. He also averages 2.7 assists per contest and shoots 44.4 percent (8-of-18) from 3-point range. Senior Aaron Bacote is second on the team in scoring at 13.5 points per game and ranks among the national leaders in free throw shooting at 88.9 percent (24-of-27) from the charity stripe.

It marks the 43rd-straight season that W&M and ODU have met on the hardwood. Last season, the Monarchs snapped a three-game Tribe winning streak in the series with a 69-62 victory in Norfolk. Old Dominion leads the all-time series at 67-19, including a 29-12 mark in Williamsburg. W&M has won the last two meetings in Williamsburg, including a 74-68 win in 2013-14. Omar Prewitt averages 13 points in two career contests with the Monarchs, while Daniel Dixon scored 16 points and added five rebounds last season.

Impact Transfer
Sophomore guard David Cohn joined the W&M program after spending his freshman campaign at Colorado State. Following a redshirt season in 2014-15 due to NCAA transfer rules, Cohn is making an impact in his first season with the Green and Gold, starting all six games at the point guard position. He ranks as one of the top assist men the CAA, dishing out 4.7 per game, which ranks fourth in the league. Cohn has also protected the ball, sporting a CAA-best assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.5, which also ranks 52nd nationally. Cohn's 4.7 assists per game would be the best for a W&M player since Nick D'Antoni averaged 5.7 during the 2004 season. Cohn has produced back-to-back double-digit efforts, tallying 10 points against both Hampton and Howard. He also dished out a career-high nine assists compared to two turnovers against the Bison. Along with his passing ability, Cohn ranks second in the CAA and 20th nationally at 93.8 percent (15-of-16) from the free throw line.

Back-to-Back Double-Doubles
Junior Omar Prewitt tallied back-to-back double-doubles against Hampton and Howard, and over the last seven games (dating back to last season), he has tallied all three of his career double-doubles. Last week, Prewitt averaged a double-double at 19.5 points and 10 rebounds per game. In the win over Hampton, he scored a game-high 22 points and added 10 rebounds. The Mount Sterling, Ky., native followed that up with a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double at Howard on Saturday. Prewitt ended his sophomore season with the first double-double of his career at Tulsa, tallying 15 points and 11 rebounds. His two double-doubles in 2015-16 rank 51st nationally and third in the CAA.

Burchfield Blow-up
Sophomore Connor Burchfield enjoyed a career day at Howard, topping W&M with 19 points. The 6-4 guard connected on a perfect 7-of-7 from the field, including five 3-pointers, against the Bison. The perfect shooting day from the field and 3-point range tied W&M school records. Burchfield is the ninth Tribe player to shoot a perfect 100 percent from the floor with a minimum of seven attempts in program history, while he is the sixth W&M athlete to connect on 100 percent from 3-point range with a minimum of four attempts. Burchfield's 5-of-5 from 3-point range ranks as the second-most without a miss in program annals behind only the 6-of-6 by Daniel Dixon against Hofstra last season. He is the first Tribe player to go 7-of-7 from the floor since Kyle Gaillard pulled the trick at Richmond in 2012.
