OPENING TIP The William & Mary women's basketball team hits the road to conclude a stretch of three of the first four games on the road as they close out a two-game road swing at Loyola (Md.) on Monday, Nov. 23. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. For the first time this season, W&M will look to rebound after a loss after falling 56-50 at Richmond on Friday night. The Tribe will meet Loyola (Md.) for the 10th time in series history in Baltimore on Monday night. It is also the second straight season the two programs have played. W&M leads the all-time series by a 6-3 margin, including a 72-71 season opening victory in Williamsburg last season.
LAST TIME OUTThe William & Mary women's basketball fell on the road Friday night at Richmond, 56-50, despite a near double-double from sophomore
Abby Rendle.
Rendle scored 14 points to lead the Tribe, including a 4-4 performance from the line, and also led all players with nine rebounds and a pair of blocks. Juniors
Marlena Tremba and
Alexandra Masaquel scored nine each, Tremba pairing hers with a balanced line of five rebounds, four assists, and two steals; while Masaquel had seven boards and game-best five assists. Also of note for the Tribe, sophomore
Jenna Green Scored eight points to go with four rebounds and two assists.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDSLoyola enters Monday's contest with a 2-2 mark overall, and are looking to move its winning streak to a pair of games. The Greyhounds knocked off Norfolk State at home on Saturday afternoon. Through four games this season, Loyola is averaging 58.0 points a night. The offense has been led by Bri Betz-White, who is averaging 15.8 points per night. Just off of her pace is Colleen Marshall, who is also in double-figures scoring 14.8 ppg. On the boards, the Greyhounds are bringing down 38.8 rebounds per game. Jeneh Perry leads the team with 6.5 rebounds a game, while Betz-White is second in terms of rebounds with 6.0 rpg. Joe Logan is in his 11th season at the helm of Loyola. He's led the Greyhounds to a 135-173 mark during his tenure.

THE ROAD AHEADThe Green and Gold return home for a match-up against American on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 5:00 p.m. The game will be apart of a women's and men's doubleheader as the Tribe men's basketball team will host in-state rival Hampton at 7:30 p.m. After a five-day layoff, W&M returns to action on Monday, Dec. 1 when they travel to Delaware State. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. between the Tribe and Hornets.

Abby Rendle is starting to come into her own as the Tribe's center. She has had a strong start to the campaign averaging 10.7 points per game, with 9.0 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks.She has grabbed nine boards in all three games this season. Not only has she be strong defensively, she's also helped facilitate the Tribe offense. She is averaging 2.0 assists, including a career-high four dimes against Grambling State.
COMMONWEALTH CLASHOnce again the William & Mary schedule is full of natural rivals including six-games against schools from the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Tribe plays Richmond (Nov. 20), Norfolk State (Dec. 17), VCU (Dec. 21), Old Dominion (Dec. 29), and James Madison (Jan. 3 & Feb. 19). The Tribe is currently 0-1 against teams from Virginia.
GRAND COUNTDOWNWith her second quarter layup against Grambling State junior
Marlena Tremba eclipsed the 800-point mark of her just over two year career. Entering tonight's game against Loyola she is just 182 from her 1,000 career point. She would become the 17th player in school history to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau.
STRONG STARTFor just the seventh time in the Division I history of the program, and the 22nd time in school history the Tribe women's basketball program opened a season with back-to-back wins.
FRESH FACESAll of the four true freshman on the roster have made their collegiate debuts over the course of the first two games. Guard
Bianca Boggs cracked the starting line up on opening night, while forward
Ali Engelhardt played as a reserve. Against Grambling State, both guard/forward
