WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's soccer team heads back to the Sunshine State for the Second Round of the 2015 NCAA College Cup. This time the Tribe travels to Gainesville where they will meet No. 2-seeded Florida. Kickoff between the Tribe and Gators is set for 7 p.m.

W&M earned one of 33 at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament after advancing to the Colonial Athletic Association championship last weekend. Caroline Casey has started every match in goal for this season for the Tribe, while sophomore
Samantha Johnson has also seen time. Casey boasts a 0.69 goal-against-average with 81 saves, and 11 shutouts.
Scouting the GatorsFlorida (18-3-1), which won the SEC Championship, advanced to the second round with a 1-0 victory over Western Michigan last Saturday night. The Gators have won 10 matches in a row and are unbeaten in their last 11, entering Saturday's contest. Savannah Jordan leads five UF players in double-figures with 22 goals, six assists, and 50 points. Brooke Sharp has scored 11 goals, added four assists and points. Christen Westphel leads the team with 13 assists, with three goals for 19 points, while Meggie Dougherty Howard has scored two goal, has seven helpers, and 11 points. The final player in double-figures is Sarah Troccoli and she has scored four goals, two assists, and 10 points. Kaylan Marckese (15 matches) and Valerie Tysinger (nine matches) have split time in goal this season for the Gators. Mackese has played 1310 minutes, with a .690 goals-against-average, 48 saves, and five shutouts. Tysinger has played 725 minutes, making 17 stops, owns a 1.62 goals-against-average, and has a shutout.
Road WarriorsWhen the Tribe takes the field on Friday night in Gainesville it will be the ninth straight game the Green and Gold has played away from Williamsburg. W&M closed the season on a five match road trip, played two neutral sites game against UNCW and James Madison in the CAA Tournament, and then last weekend's NCAA Tournament match at UCF. During the stretch W&M has posted a 6-1-1 record in its previous eight road matches.
Closing in on 400W&M head coach
John Daly, who is in his 29th season as the Tribe's head coach, is closing in on his 400th career victory as head coach. He is just five victories away from the historic mark.
Series HistoryW&M will meet Florida for the first time in program history in the NCAA Second Round on Friday night. It is also the first time this season the Tribe will play a team for the first time.
Going DancingFor the 25th time in program history the William & Mary women's soccer team is moving into the NCAA Women's Soccer College Cup. The Tribe earned one of the 33 at-large bids and will travel to UCF for a First Round match-up on Saturday, Nov. 14. The Tribe earns its first at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament since 2008 and its 14th overall at-large bid. Also since the NCAA Tournament started in 1982, every four-year player to don the Green and Gold has appeared in at least one NCAA Tournament.
Dancing Partners In a banner year for the CAA, four league teams made it to the NCAA Tournament. James Madison, which won the conference automatic bid, plays at Duke, Hofstra travels to Georgetown, and UNCW heads to South Carolina. It was the first time the league had four teams earn NCAA Tournaments. Much like the Tribe, both Hofstra (advanced on PKs) and UNCW (2-0 win) advanced to the Round of 32. Hofstra plays at Rutgers, while UNCW is at Virginia on Friday night.

To the NinesThe Colonial Athletic Association announced its end of season awards on Wednesday night and the William & Mary women's soccer team was well represented, have nine student-athletes receive 11 different awards.

The Tribe's nine players were the most of any team in the CAA to be honored, while the 11 different awards were also the most in the CAA. The trio of first teamers was tied for the most in the league. Additionally, Casey becomes the Tribe's first CAA Defensive Player of the Year since 2009 when Diana Weigel won the award.
Nothing But CLASSSenior
Caroline Casey was named one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award on Oct. 26. Casey has shined on and off of the field during her time with the Tribe. She is involved in multiple community-based activities and also made a medical relief trip to Nicaragua in the winter of 2014. The Chesapeake, Virginia native thrives in the classroom, while also being a two-time captain and All-CAA player.
All They Do is WinWilliam & Mary clinched its NCAA record 35th straight winning season with a 2-0 victory at Drexel on Friday, Oct. 16. The 35-winning season account for every year of the Tribe women's soccer program.
Five for Fighting The Tribe won six straight games from Sept. 27 to Oct. 25, which accounted for its longest winning streak of the season. It also marks the fifth straight season that the Tribe has posted, at least, a five match winning streak during a single season.

Samantha Cordum netted her first career hat trick against Northeastern on Sunday afternoon. She scored goals in the 15th, 60th, and 87th minutes to help the Tribe to a 3-1 victory.
D, D, DefenseThe Tribe has done a very good job of team defending this season, and it has shown as the Green and Gold has only allowed 15 goals this season. The Tribe has four team saves, which were credited to

National Recognition Senior
Nicole Baxter was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week for the week of Aug. 24.Baxter started in played all 90 minutes in the Tribe's season opening 5-1 victory over Seton Hall on Friday afternoon. On Sunday as the Tribe knocked off its first ranked team since 2011, Baxter played a hand in all three goals. She assisted on sophomore
Rachel Moore's game-winning goal in the ninth minute, scored on a penalty kick in the 45th minute, and assisted on senior
Samantha Cordum's goal in the 79th minute.
Weekly AwardsCaroline Casey was named CAA Player of the week for the second time this season earlier this week. She recorded a pair of shutouts in the Tribe's two conference victories over Charleston and UNCW. She recorded eight saves for the weekend, and faced 15 shots in Sunday's victory.
For the second straight week, W&M had a player of the week earn CAA Player of the Week honor for Sept. 14. This time senior goalkeeper
Caroline Casey was earned the honor. The senior recorded five saves and helped preserve her shutout in the final moments of the Old Dominion match on Friday night. However, her best match came on Sunday as she turned away a season-high tying seven shots. She helped the Tribe defense withstand a final minute stretch of three shots and two corner kicks in the final minute.

Katie Johnston was named the CAA Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 7. played 58 minutes and fired three shots, one on goal, in the Tribe's 1-1 draw against Wake Forest on Friday night. Johnston saved her best for Sunday afternoon, scoring a pair of goals in W&M's 3-0 win at N.C. State. She scored the game-winning goal in the 22nd minute. The forward added the exclamation point in the 71st minute when she registered her second tally of the match. She finished the day with a match-high five shots.
Johnston is the second Tribe player to earn a weekly award as freshman
Mackenzie Kober was named the CAA Rookie of the Week after she scored a goal and had an assist in her first collegiate weekend scoring a goal and registering an assist in the Tribe's 5-1 victory over Seton Hall.
Movin' on UpSenior goalkeeper
Caroline Casey has started every game in goal of her Tribe career, and she is beginning to climb up the W&M record book. Her 11 shutouts this season rank her in single-season school history. The Chesapeake, Virginia native, who is also a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award, ranks third in school history with 29 career shutouts, and has 296 career saves, which rank her second all-time.
Connect FourThe Tribe was selected to finish fourth in annual CAA Preseason Poll voted on by the league's 10 head coaches. Back-to-back defending champion Northeastern was selected to repeat as champion, while Hofstra (second) and James Madison third were picked ahead of the Tribe. Despite the fourth place prediction, the voting was very close, and W&M was just 12 points behind first-place Hofstra.
