The William and Mary men's swimming team easily handled Davidson Saturday morning in its first meet back from break, winning each of the first 12 swimming events en route to a 171-104 win. The Tribe improved to 5-2 on the year and locked up its fourth-straight winning season, while the Wildcats fell to 0-6 overall.

Evan Baker (Chantilly, Va.) continued his strong rookie campaign, sweeping the butterfly events. He won the 100 fly in 51.34 seconds, and also took the 200 fly in 1:52.32 to break the dual-meet record by nearly three-quarters of a second. Classmate
Tommy Kealy (Wilton, Conn.) also swam a collegiate-best in the 200 fly to finish second overall in 1:53.27, improving his standing at 15th in school history. Kealy came back later in the meet to win the 500 free, stopping the clock in 4:39.06.
The rest of the day belonged to veterans, beginning with a win in the 200 medley relay at 1:32.69. The squad included
Will Manion (Haddonfield, N.J.),
Matt Goetz (Islip, N.Y.),
Justin Barden (Gordonsville, Va.), and
Billy Russell (Newport News, Va.). Manion (49.73 in the 100 back), Goetz (58.28 in the 100 breast), and Russell (1:42.42 in the 200 free) would all come back to win individual races as well.
Winning twice along with Baker was senior
Taegan Clarke (Chappaqua, N.Y.), sweeping the 50 and 100 free in 21.65 seconds and 47.18 seconds, respectively. Junior
Andrew Nyce (Vienna, Va.) touched the wall first in the 200 breast at 2:05.81, and sophomores
Joe Eiden (White Plains, N.Y.) and
Alex Montes de Oca (Orange, Va.) rounded out the winners list; Eiden in the 1000 free at 9:42.39 and Montes de Oca by taking the 200 back in 1:50.89.
William and Mary is back on the road in two weeks, swimming at Old Dominion on Saturday, Jan. 24.
