Defended his conference title in the 800 free relay with a lifetime-best (at the time) lead-off of 1:38.34 ... Would go on to better that time in the open 200 free ... Also led-off the Tribe's 400 free relay that finished second overall, timing 44.85 to become the second W&M swimmer under 45 seconds in the event ... Individually, made the championship finals in both the 100 and 200 free ... Finished fourth overall in the 200 free ... Took eighth in the 100 free ... At the Hokie Fall Invitational, made the consolation finals in three events ... Finished 14th in the 100 free, and 15th in both the 200 free and the 500 free ... Also finished 22nd in the 50 free ... Won three races during the season ... All three came in the 100 free, against Mary Washington, Delaware, and Davidson..

2012-13
Won his first CAA title as part of the conference record-setting 800 free relay ... Individually, won the consolation heat of the 200 free ... Finished 10th overall in the 500 free ... Also swam at the Cavalier Invitational, taking eighth in the 100 fly ... Three-event finalist at the Hokie Fall Invitational ... 15th overall in the 200 free ... 18th in the 500 free and 20th in the 100 free ... Swam a lifetime-best 47.64 in the prelims of the 100 free ... Scored against every dual-meet opponent except Delaware.

2011-12
Member of the CAA squad ... Made the consolation finals of 200 free, finishing 16th overall ... Also swam the backstrokes at the conference meet ... Advanced to the C finals in the 100 back at the Terrapin Cup ... Interned on Capitol Hill during the summer.

Prep: Two-time high school All-American ... Six-time NCSA Junior National qualifier ... Two-time all-league and all-section honoree ... Four-year scholar athlete ... During his senior season won the Section-1 100 butterfly and was the runner up in the Section-1 200 free ... Placed fourth at the New York State Championship in the 200 free ... Member of the 400 free relay state champion team ... During his junior season, placed second in the Section-1 100 back ... Holds the record in the 200 back for his club team, the BGNW Marlins ... Joins Sammie Cooper as second Tribe swimmer from the Marlins ... Also lettered in baseball and golf.

Personal: Son of Peter and Karen Clarke ... Younger brother, Risten, is a sophomore on the Tribe swim team ... Older brother, Braden, swam for Villanova University ... Enjoys skiing, sailing, and playing golf in his leisure time ... Came to William and Mary because of its commitment to both academics and athletics.
