The William and Mary field hockey team fell in its second match of the weekend, losing at No. 17 Michigan, 2-0. The Tribe moves to 1-3 on the year, while the Wolverines earn their first win at 1-2 overall.

Peyton Smith (Richmond, Va.) had her shot off a corner saved by the Michigan goalkeeper.
William and Mary now returns home for the next two weeks, with a pair of matches each of the next two weekends. The homestand begins next Friday, Sept. 12, hosting Rutgers at 7 p.m.
