Delaware responded, however, and rattled off six unanswered goals to build a three-goal advantage, 6-3, with less than six minutes remaining in the half.

A score by Salmon with 1:27 showing ended the Blue Hens' run, but Chelsea Fay recorded a goal with just 0:18 on the clock to give UD a 7-4 lead at halftime.

The College tallied a pair of goals early in the second half, coming from Farmakis and Junior, to narrow the margin to just one, 7-6. However, Delaware registered another 6-0 run to pull ahead, 13-6, midway through the second stanza.

Salmon and Collier recorded back-to-back goals separated by just 0:47 to cut the deficit to 13-8 with 14:04 remaining, but W&M was held scoreless during the remainder of the contest.
