Tony Shaver Tribute: Tribe Basketball's Winningest Coach

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - TribeAthletics.com congratulates William and Mary head men's basketball coach Tony Shaver on becoming the program's all-time winningest coach with the above video tribute. With the Green and Gold's 74-62 triumph at Old Dominion on Feb. 16, he tallied win No. 114 at W&M, surpassing the school mark previously held by Bill Chambers (1957-66). Shaver entered the 2012-13 campaign in the top 25 among active Division I head coaches in wins and currently has 473 career victories. Click HERE for the video tribute as well.

The Tribe is back in action as it travels to George Mason on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va. The contest holds a 4 p.m. start time and will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic and New England as well as Comcast Sports Southeast and The Comcast Network Philadelphia. Tribe fans can catch the action over the Tribe Radio Network with Jay Colley, Bill McDonald and Charlie Woollum on the call.
