Leading the way for the Tribe on Saturday was sophomore Billy Russell (Newport News, Va.), who swept all three of his individual events for a total of six wins.  He swam best-ever dual meet times in the 100 free (46.51) and 200 free (1:42.53), and also won the 50 free in 21.54 seconds.  Russell also anchored the Tribe's 400 free relay that broke the pool record in 3:07.97, swimming alongside Alex Montes de Oca (Orange, Va.), Will Manion (Haddonfield, N.J.), and Joe Eiden (White Plains, N.Y.).

Manion also won four individual races, sweeping the two backstrokes against both teams.  He touched the wall in 1:52.20 to take the 200 back, and broke the pool record in the 100 back with his time of 50.55.  Manion also had a hand in a third pool record, leading off the 200 medley relay that won in 1:33.67.  He led off teammates Andrew Strait (Henrico, Va.), Justin Barden (Gordonsville, Va.), and freshman Greg Rogers (Yardley, Pa.) on that relay.  Strait also swept two of his individual events, winning the 200 breast in 2:04.07 before coming back to take the 200 IM in 1:53.45.

Eiden and fellow rookie Sean Higgins (Wilton, Conn.) both earned wins and entries into the Tribe record books.  Eiden won the 500 free against Georgetown in 4:46.54, but in the 1000 free he touched the wall in 9:46.92, becoming the 15th-fastest swimmer in school history.  For his part, Higgins' 1:55.10 to win the 200 fly over the Hoyas ranks him 16th all-time at W&M.  Barden had a pair of wins on the afternoon, stopping the clock in 51.08 to win the 100 fly against both opponents.  Junior Chris Dong (Chapel Hill, N.C.) finished out the victory lap, winning the 100 breast against Georgetown with a time of 59.15.

William and Mary is back in action in two weeks, competing at the CAA Pod Meet in Harrisonburg, Va., on Nov. 1-2.  The Tribe will be facing Delaware and UNCW the two-day meet.
