Opened the year with a school-record time of 54.85 seconds in the 100 breast against Towson ... Ranked as the top time in the country for several weeks ... Advanced to the B finals in both breaststrokes and both IM events at the Hokie Fall Invitational ... Won the consolation heat in the 400 IM for ninth overall ... Won 21 races on the year, fifth-most in school history and first to win at least 20 since 1998-99 ... Named CAA Swimmer of the Week four times.

2011-12
Olympic Trials competitor in three events ... Finished 114th in the 200m IM, 120th in the 100m breast, and 122nd in the 200m breast ... CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's swimming, the first Tribe athlete to win that award ... Named an honorable mention mid-major All-American by CollegeSwimming.com ... Runner-up in both the 400 IM and the 200 breaststroke at the CAA Championships ... Won the consolation heat of the 200 IM to take ninth overalll ... Reset his own school records in all three events ... Took a bronze medal as part of the school-record setting 200 free relay ... Also broke the school record in the 200 medley relay ... Swam the breaststroke leg of both medley relays, setting top-three all-time performances in both ... Made the A finals at the Terrapin Cup Invitational in both the 100 (eighth) and 200 (seventh) breast ... Also made the B finals in both IM events, finishing 12th in the 200 and 16th in the 400 ... 2010-11: Led the Tribe in victories during the dual meet season with 10, and turned in one of the more remarkable CAA Championship performances in recent history ... Over the course of the three-day meet, broke six freshman records and the school record in the 400 IM ... Marathon meet began Thursday with the 200 IM, where he broke the freshman record in both prelims and finals ... Finished fifth overall in 1:51.53 ... Friday, competed in the 400 IM, again breaking the freshman record twice ... Finals time of 3:59.61 was good for fifth overall, and also broke the W&M school record ... It was the first time a Tribe swimmer had ever broken four minutes in the event ... Saturday, in the 200 breast, once again set freshman record in both prelims and finals ... Swam 2:04.20 for eighth place in the final heat ... Was named the CAA Swimmer of the Week on Feb. 8, after winning three events against East Carolina ... Provosts Award-winner, with a cumulative GPA over 3.5 for the year.
