HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - The
William and Mary baseball team defeated Hofstra, 11-0, in game two of its

distance, allowing no runs on five hits, while fanning a career-high 12
batters. In all, it was Davenport's
sixth complete game of the season and number eight for his career. Hofstra's junior RHP John Tiedemann (7-4)
took the loss.
Sophomore third baseman Ryan Lindemuth went 3-for-4 with
three RBIs, three runs scored and a home run to lead the Tribe. Freshman first baseman Michael Katz was

The College struck first as it plated a pair of runs in the
first inning. Nutter led off the contest
with a hit by the pitch. Lindemuth
followed with a home run to left center field as W&M raced out to an early,
2-0 lead.
W&M kept the early momentum rolling as it scored a trio
of runs in the top half of the second.
With one out and the bases loaded, Lindemuth drove in Forsten from third
on a single to right field. Brown scored
the College's second run of the frame after he raced home after a Tiedemann
wild pitch. With one out and the bases
still loaded, the Green and Gold's third run of the frame culminated after
Hofstra's freshman reliever Dave Jesch belted Williams. As a result, Nutter advanced home from third,
giving W&M a 5-0 advantage.
In the top of the fourth, W&M pushed across two more
runs and extended the margin to 7-0.
Lindemuth led off the frame ripping a double to center field. He later scored the College's sixth run of
the afternoon after Katz connected on a single through the middle of the
infield. With one out and Katz on third,
Bower plated the freshman first baseman with a sacrifice fly out to right
field.
For the third time of game-two, the Green and Gold once
again scored two runs in a frame. This time, W&M plated a pair of runs in
the fifth. A Katz single down the left
field line drove in Brown as the College went ahead, 8-0. Aiken pushed across Williams for the inning's
second run with a sacrifice fly out to center field as the Green and Gold took
a commanding, 9-0, lead.
The Green and Gold extended the stranglehold to 10-0 in the
sixth. With one out, a Brown single to
left center field off of Hofstra's junior RHP John Krause plated Arcure.
In the top of the seventh, Bower tacked on run number 11
