2012 Tribe Football Spring Practice Update ? March 22

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (March 22, 2012) - With the first week of spring practices nearly complete, William and Mary rising junior quarterback Brent Caprio recently sat down with TribeAthletics.com to discuss his offseason preparation as well as his future goals both on and off the field.

Below is a quick look at the Tribe's spring depth chart at the quarterback position.

Offensive Coordinator Zbig Kepa:
"There is a lot of competition for reps this spring.  We are looking for one of the quarterbacks to separate himself from the pack in terms of being a leader and managing the offense.  Our goal is to improve at throwing the ball downfield this fall and stretch out defenses."

Mobile quarterback who has the ability to throw accurately outside the pocket ... Emerged as the Tribe's starting signal caller late last season, earning starts in four of the final five games ... Finished the season completing 68-of-107 passes for 795 yards with six touchdowns ... Completed 20-of-28 passes for a career-high 245 yards with a touchdown against Old Dominion ... Led South Fayette to back-to-back undefeated regular seasons as a junior and senior and was selected to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fabulous All 22 Team both seasons.
