WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (March 22, 2012) - After
posting a number of outstanding performances last week, William and Mary
standouts Daniel Potemski and J.J. Jindra recently garnered weekly awards from
the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC). Potemski was selected as the
ECAC Gymnast of the Week, while Jindra was chosen as the ECAC Rookie of the
Week.
Potemski
earned the league's top weekly honor for the second time this season after
winning a pair of all-around titles. After totaling an 82.5 in the win against
Army on Thursday, he posted an 83.5 two days later in a tri-meet with Army and
Temple. The Round Rock, Texas native also won on vault (14.7) and parallel bars
(14.1) on Saturday, while he equaled a career high on pommel horse with a 14.5
- a score that ranks fourth in W&M's record book. Potemski also tied for
the floor title in the dual meet triumph against Army with a 13.9.

rookie of the week honors for the second time this season after winning on
rings and parallel bars in the Army/Temple tri-meet. En route to claiming the
titles, he posted career highs in both events with a 14.3 on rings and a 14.1
