WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (March 14, 2012) - The William and Mary football
program held its annual pro day this morning at Zable Stadium, as 10 former
Tribe players worked out for representatives from seven NFL teams.
Among the teams on hand holding
the NFL combine-style workout were the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Miami
Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins and Oakland
Raiders.
The Tribe players participating
in the event were running back Jonathan Grimes, tight end Alex Gottlieb, linebacker
Jake Trantin, offensive lineman James Pagliaro, defensive end Marcus Hyde,
cornerback Terrell Wells, wide receiver D.J. Mangas, defensive tackle Harold Robertson II, defensive tackle Mike Stover ('10) and wide receiver D.J. McAulay
('09).
W&M currently has five
players on NFL rosters - David Caldwell (Indianapolis Colts), Derek Cox
(Jacksonville Jaguars), Mike Leach (Arizona Cardinals), Sean Lissemore (Dallas
Cowboys) and Adrian Tracy (New York Giants).
Since 2009, W&M has produced
three NFL draft picks, a figure that leads the Colonial Athletic Association
and ranks behind only Virginia and Virginia Tech among programs in the state.
