WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The William and Mary men's basketball team recently had one
of its home non-conference games added to the Colonial Athletic Association's
NBC Sports Network national television package. The College's Nov. 21 home
contest with Miami (Ohio) will now be broadcast to a national TV audience as
part of the league's extensive package.
With its nationally televised NBC Sports Network contest,
the Tribe will now have at least 11 of its games during the 2012-13 season
broadcast on television. Every W&M home game, with the exception of the nationally broadcast game against Miami (Ohio), will be broadcast on
TribeAthletics.com via Tribe Athletics TV. An entire year pass of Tribe
Athletics TV is $69.95. Fans can purchase monthly passes at $10.95 and
four-month passes at $39.95.
The CAA and NBC Sports Network added three league non-conference
games to its already announced 18-game national television package. Along with
the W&M-Miami (Ohio) matchup, Drexel's home contest with Illinois State on
Nov. 15 and James Madison's home game against George Washington on Nov. 28 will
be televised on the NBC Sports Network.
This year, NBC Sports Network will
televise more than 50 college basketball games, the most in the network's
history. Part of the NBC Sports Group, NBC Sports Network is now in nearly 80
million homes. The network is the cable television home of the Summer and
Winter Olympics, National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Soccer (MLS), IZOD
Indy Car Series, Tour de France and the 34th America's Cup.
