The William and Mary volleyball team lost in a five-set marathon to Georgia State Friday night, falling 3-2 at Kaplan Arena. The Tribe is now 8-16 on the season, while the Panthers improved to 13-15 overall and 7-4 in league play.

Alexandra Ciaccio (Houston, Texas) led the way for the Tribe with a career-night, scoring 15 kills and four blocks to set collegiate-best marks in both categories. Classmate
Celine Alasomuka (Centreville, Va.) also turned in a strong performance, leading all players with 29 digs to surpass 400 on the season (405 total, 4.45 per set). Freshman
Manon Murray (Greensboro, N.C.) nearly collected a double-double in just three sets, with seven kills and a career-best 20 digs, and junior
Shaylin O'Connell (Leesburg, Va.) was halfway to her own double-double with five kills and a match-high five blocks.

William and Mary brings its home schedule to a close on Saturday night, hosting UNCW at 7 p.m. Before the match, the Tribe will hold a brief ceremony honoring its two seniors,
