Williamsburg - Due to construction on Richmond Road, the William & Mary Athletic Department would like to encourage spectators to take alternate routes when attending home football games this season.

Season parking pass holders will continue to access their assigned lots from the same entrance points. The entrance to the Gold, Red, and Silver Lots is at the intersection of Richmond Road and Scotland Street. To avoid the construction area, pass holders are encouraged to access the entrance via downtown Williamsburg or take Jamestown Road to Richmond Road.

The entrance to the Blue, Green, and White Lots is at the intersection of Campus Drive and Yates Drive. Pass holders to these lots, as well as the Yates Lot, should enter campus from either Jamestown Road, or taking Compton Road off Monticello Avenue.

The reserved lots open at 10 a.m. for 1 p.m. games, and 4 p.m. for 7 p.m. games.

General parking is available for all home football games in the William & Mary Hall and Yates Hall parking lots, a short walk from Zable Stadium. General Parking is $5, and the lot opens at 9 a.m. for 1 p.m. games, and 2 p.m. for 7 p.m. games. The lots surround William & Mary Hall, and are best accessed from the Compton Road entrance to campus. From points west of Williamsburg, take Interstate 64 east to Highway 199 East (Exit 234). Turn left off the Highway 199 exit for Monticello Avenue. Turn right on Compton Road, approximately one mile past the stoplight at the Ironbound Road intersection.

From points east of Williamsburg, exit Interstate 64 at Highway 199 West (Exit 242). Veer to the right off the Highway 199 exit for Monticello Avenue. Turn right on Compton Road, approximately one mile past the stoplight at the Ironbound Road intersection.

In order to more efficiently service your departure from campus after the game, new traffic patterns will be in effect post-game. Richmond Road will not be accessible via Campus Drive or Brooks Street. Those parked in the William & Mary Hall lot, as well as the Blue, Green, and White Lots, will be directed to exit campus via Compton Road or Campus Drive to Jamestown Road. The following detours will be in effect:

Route 199

Exit the William and Mary Hall parking lot heading west (right) on Compton Drive. Make a left at Monticello Avenue, and continue straight through the Ironbound Road traffic light. Highway 199 is a half-mile past the intersection.

Interstate 64

To reach Interstate 64, follow the directions to Highway 199. Take Highway 199 West 4.5 miles to the I-64 exits.


Jamestown Road

Exit the William and Mary Hall parking lot heading east (left) on Compton Drive. Make a right at Campus Drive and continue until the stop sign. At the stop sign, take a right and continue a quarter mile until Jamestown Road.

Richmond Road

Exit the William and Mary Hall parking lot heading west (right) on Compton Drive. Make a left at Monticello Avenue. Turn right at the Ironbound Road stoplight. Turn right at the next stoplight. Richmond Road is approximately a half-mile from the Ironbound Road intersection.
