STAMFORD, Conn. - William and Mary senior wide receiver
Bryce Lee (Virginia Beach, VA) was named to second team honors on the Verizon Academic All-America? Football Team announced Monday, Dec. 10th, in voting by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Lee, a Finance major with a minor in Mathematics, started all 11 regular season games for the College during the 2001 season that saw the Tribe finish with an 8-4 record and a share of the Atlantic 10 Football Conference Crown. He was second on the squad in both receptions (28) and receiving yards (412). Lee, who carries a G.P.A. of better than 3.65, graduated Magna Cum Laude and is currently enrolled in William and Mary's Master's of Business Program.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Verizon Academic All-America program, which was founded by CoSIDA in 1952 to recognize collegiate student-athletes for their outstanding achievements in the classroom and on the playing field. Over the past 50 years, the Verizon Academic All-America program has grown into one of the most recognized and prestigious collegiate scholar-athlete awards nationwide, honoring student-athletes from all NCAA championship sports.
